your tent. There are Masai workers at the camp that make a campfire at night who are nice and fun to talk to. Some other tourists even bought a goat from the Masai and roasted it over the fire. Just make sure you leave your tent zipped so the baboons don't get in at night. No locks on the tents. Dinner and breakfast buffets were hot and tasty, and also had fruit, tea, hot chocolate, and beer. Only the packed lunch they gave us for the safari day was rubbish - sandwich with dry bread and a few slices of tomato - come on. Inedible. Luckily I had taken some extra breakfast with me. The camp runs a generator for a few hours so you can have lights and charge your phone.The only critique is that many of the dirt roads are absolutely horrible and I'm surprised our big safari van made it through most of them. Even the roads outside the park coming from Nairobi practically gave me a stroke from the vibration, bouncing, and noise. Also during the high season, there are a lot of safari vans swarming around the animals, which is a bit annoying, but understandable.

We stayed at Little Governor's Camp. Their 4-star tents are amazing! They left me wondering how 5-star tents would look like... (which we recently tested in Botswana...)

My experience in the Masai Mara provided me with the greatest opportunities to see big carnivores. The number of these large predators was truly amazing. Additionally, our stay at Richard's Camp provided possibly the most luxurious of accommodations. All of our camps were delightful, but Richard's Camp was a cut above the norm. Gorgeous tents with wildlife literally in your front yard and meals beyond compare. Highly recommended.

One of my top two parks in Kenya. I can't say enough good things about the Mara. Beautiful place. The wildlife is incredible. It is just so pretty and peaceful. Top notch!

It was amazing to see the big migration, the river crossing, the hunting and killing by wildlife.
The wildlife was abundant, scenery beautiful, weather of late August and early September pleasant. The accommodations were first rate, food fresh and delicious, transportation not too bad despite of rugged road condition. Our guides were very knowledgeable and very professional, proud of their work. The whole trip was adventurous and memorable and has to be one of our best vacation experiences if not the best!

Masai Mara is a must-see for its unrivaled scenic beauty and incredible abundance of wildlife. This park is a marvel of our planet. I hope with all of my heart that poaching and the demand for poaching will be eliminated and that the Masai people can continue to lead their traditional lifestyle while not having a negative impact on their wild animal co-inhabitants.

An amazing place to get close to wildlife
Of all the parks we visited in a two week safari in Kenya and Tanzania, we saw the most Lions in Maasai Mara, many that were very close to our vehicle. You can go off the roads to get closer to the animals, which you can't do at other parks, making this a must-see destination.
Fantastic on an organised safari, hard work on self drive. Lots of relatively cheap tented accommodation on the outside of the park near the gates. Otherwise very expensive. Compared to comparably sized southern African parks the Mara is hard to find your way around. Otherwise, it is amazing. Birds are great. We missed the migration but still saw loads of lion, cheetah, hyena (including one striped), rhino, elephant, and loads of other good stuff. Won't let you down. If you've got the money, stay at one of the swank lodges in the middle of the park and go on a hot air balloon.

Masai Mara is undoubtedly the highlight of the holiday, day after day you can admire the best of the animal kingdom, even with luck you can see lions hunting their prized meal of the day, is where the visitor will see the river crosses the wildebeest, zebras, antelopes and other species, you must pay attention to the river and there alligators also want their chance to take a big bite of the day. sunsets and sunrises are spectacular, it is advisable to take the trip in a balloon across the plains of Masai Mara, I did and was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.
It is also advisable to take a raincoat for rain because sometimes the rain comes without warning and suddenly, a jersey in the morning is highly recommended because in the early hours of the day and usually get cold at night too.
