Amazing experience
It was a truly beautiful experience, difficult to put into words. The safari through the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater was intense, emotional, and deeply authentic. Endless landscapes, unspoiled nature, and close encounters with wildlife that stay with you forever.
The stay in a tented camp made everything even more special: falling asleep to the sounds of the savannah, waking up surrounded by nature, and experiencing the safari in a raw yet comfortable setting added a unique sense of immersion and connection with the environment.
A huge added value was our guide Humphrey: professional, extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and always available. Thanks to him, every day was perfectly organized, with clear explanations, great field experience, and a contagious passion for the land and its animals.
A journey I would recommend without hesitation to anyone looking not just for a safari, but for a genuine, profound, and unforgettable experience.

professional, well-organized, offering french and english speaking tour guides
We recently went on three- day joining safari, including Tarangire NP, Serengeti NP, and Ngorongoro Crater (April 2026) starting from Arusha. We really enjoyed our trip.
In particular, we were very happy with our tour guide, who was very helpful and knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. Most importantly, as our group consisted of English and French speakers, he was able to provide all the information in French and English, which was very impressive and and made all the difference for our group. The safari was also very well organized and everyone enjoyed the numerous animal sightings.
I would definitely recommend this safari and specially our guide, as he was able to accommodate English and French speakers equally well. Thank you for a great safari experience.

Best Safari Experience
This was overall an incredible safari experience.
Context: I did a 3-day camping Safari (2 days Serengeti + 1 day Ngorongoro). I went solo and joined an existing group
1. The Guide: 5/5
Our Guide (Johnas) really made this trip what it was. He knew the Serengeti and Ngorongoro like the back of his hand. He could easily spot wildlife that we could barely see with binoculars and found hiding lions, cheetahs, and leopards very easily. Because of his skills, we easily saw the big 5 multiple times throughout our safari. He quickly named every animal we ran across and knew everything there is to know about them. It was extremely impressive. He also takes amazing pictures and videos of wildlife! We also faced a few logistical issues beyond his control which he handled super well without impacting our itinerary. Above all that, he was incredibly friendly. If you’re joining a safari trip, definitely ask for Johnas to be your guide.
2. The Chef: 5/5
The meals we’ve had were all incredibly delicious and well balanced. We always had a meat option, a vegetarian option, and some carbs + some fruits for lunch and dinner. The meals were always very delicious, which is especially impressive given the conditions he has to cook in. We really appreciated all his efforts (and he also always had an incredible playlist going on while cooking which we loved) 😊
3. Communication: 5/5
Avocet were always super helpful and responsive over WhatsApp no matter when I messaged them. They sent me a very clear and detailed itinerary for the trip (which gave me a clear sense of reliability and was one of the reasons I decided to go with them versus other organizers).
4. Organization & Logistics: 5/5
I was picked up and dropped off to my accommodation in Arusha as was everyone in the group. We didn’t need to worry about anything throughout the trip. Everything was clear and ready for us wherever we arrived. We also got upgraded to a lodge on our first night in the Serengeti where we saw some animals (eg dik-diks)
which was super nice. The second night we spent in Simba camp which was very nice cause we got to see buffaloes right outside our tents (!!!) but we didn’t really get to see the sunrise like we did in the camp.
Overall, I highly recommend going with Avocet and make sure to ask for Johnas. Personally, I’d also recommend going in mid may because it’s less crowded, the weather is nicer and we got to see much more wildlife than when I went to the Masai Mara in Kenya in July during the great migration.

Very helpfull and reliable team
We had three perfect safari days. First with Peter in Manyara, he told us a lot about all the birds. And the other two days with Mike in the crater and Tarangyre. He made all the efforts to show us so many different animals. And when the safari was over he made even more efforts to drop all the guests at there different, almost unfindable adresses. Staying optimistic and friendly all the time. It was a super first safari experience with Avocet for me and my daughter!
