Parks and wildlife were great, tour operator was not
I booked a 6D/5N with Meru Slopes, reading great reviews on SafariBookings.com.
I was dismayed to find out that they had shuffled me into a different company's safari, for unknown reason. This group was called Arunga Expeditions.
The guide spoke maybe 100 words the entire safari, we had battery issues with the LandCruiser, the lunch boxes were awful (dry muffin + banana + FOUR pieces of plain bread + juice box), and we were always rushed. When we would stop at say a large pride of lions and want to spend 5-10 minutes, the guide would try and start driving away after 1 minute to find something else. We'd have to ask him to stop so we can stay and watch the lion and actually take photos. He was never happy with this and often very rude. Often we'd leave something like this after 2 minutes and not see anything as spectacular the rest of the day. He'd mutter something like "many more lions later". The itinerary was to have FULL safari days at certain spots (Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Serengeti) but this only meant 4 - 5 hours to the guide. He would sleep in, start slow, and end early, so he could take off from the campsite and go drink a couple beers and watch football somewhere. We were always the last vehicle out in the morning and first ones back. The itinerary had a full day booked at Ngorongoro but we were finished BEFORE lunch time. How does this work?

It was a very good experience!
The safari was nice and well organized. Especially the Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Park offer great game drives. The team was always there to help, the food was good and changed daily, and the group was awesome.

Very good choice
Joel Mollel is a great driver and guide. We had a very nice experience with him. He is very attentive to every detail, making our trip memorable. He even drives very close to the animals for best views.
I suggest Meru Slopes to trust this driver more and give him more tours because he makes it the best.

Fast & Furious
Awesome experience, our driver went super close to all the animals and totally bossed in front of all the other vehicles
He was a sick driver and that was super fun
He did also crash our vehicle and we needed to be rescued... that's Africa though I guess. Definitely unforgettable.

Very experienced and passioned
We had a wonderful time explore the safari. The company provided very good services. The tour guides are very friendly and experienced. All lodge and food services are excellent. Thank you!
He was funny and always knew the best Spots.
The Safari with Meruslope was a great experience. We had a good driver who was also funny and knew many things about the parks. The food was tasty. The only thing to improve are some washrooms in the bush camps.
Overall it was one of the best things we ever did and I would recommend it to anyone who is considering it.

Awesome trip!
We had an amazing time with Meru Slopes! Our tour guide Andrew knew everything about the animals and plants we saw on safari and took the patience to answer all of our questions. The communication with Almachius went easy and was very friendly as well! Bewaren that in the tour information it says binoculars are included. But only our guide has his own personal binocular with him, not company property. He shared it with us. Another improvement could have been our first night at The Tourist Inn. Our room wasn't clean, towels smelled and had stains on them and you could hear street noise outside. Sleep was hard to come by, but ofcourse greatly needed when going on a safari sleeping in the wilderness in the nights to come. The last night we had the same hotel booked. We didn't want the same experience as before so we switched hotels for our last night. If you go low budget ofcourse you will have some low quality accomodations, but for us having a good nights rest and a clean shower/towels was non-negotiable. Overall we would definitely recommend Meru Slopes! We had such a good time, saw the big 5 and felt we were in good hands. Asante Sana!

The safari was a success. The program was adhered to. We were very satisfied
Wildebeast 8Days Camping Safari: Our guide Daniel did his job to our satisfaction. We saw a lot and his explanations were always detailed. We also had a good cook in Johannes, who prepared good, clean food for us. If you are looking for a good price-performance ratio with beautiful animal sightings, you cannot avoid Meruslopes.

Amazing tour and nice staff. The chef cooked different food every time. Great experience
They change the order of the parks (due to people who took only 3 days safari), that is not so negative thing but tarangire after ngorongoro and serengeti is not surprising. However, The tour is amazing and the place wonderful. We had problem with the jeep but they solve it in a short time.
I m Italian and about food I don't know what to say, It was normal, even pasta was good. I can suggest Eric as chef. Benson is also a nice person and guide.
