Phenomenal
A very good friend and myself did a 7 day safari through Altezza Travel recently and could not have imagined a better safari experience. The sights were amazing, the accommodation was second to none and our driver Tom was fantastic, personable and will become one of your best mates garunteed. Amazing trip in Africa!
I recently returned from a 5-day safari arranged by Altezza Travel in Tanzania - the safari covered Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Manyara national parks. Because I had fixed dates and could not change them, I ended up in a one-person safari, which actually worked out fine. I had the guide and the truck to myself, which was great. Long story short - I had a great time and would absolutely recommend Altezza Travel. Two people contributed to taking this trip enjoyable. The first is Anna, the consultant who worked with me in setting up the itinerary. She was responsive, easy to work with, and diligent - even though I had some questions about the trip and the various logistics involved, she was absolutely helpful at every point, right up to the point where I left Tanzania to go back home.
The second person who made a huge difference was Tom, my guide. Blessed with an upbeat, cheerful, and infectious personality, Tom was absolutely great on the long rides. His ability to spot animals was uncanny, as was his knowledge about the various species of birds and animals on the safari. He made sure things were in order, went out of his way to make things comfortable for me, and helped me gain a whole new perspective on wildlife. Even when we had a minor accident (our truck got stuck in a waterhole in Manyara for a while), Tom was there trying his best to get things back on even keel. At no point did I feel unsafe or in danger. He helped me get to another truck which brought me back to the lodge, while additional equipment was brought to the site to extract the stuck truck. In the bargain, I got to make a couple of new friends in the truck that gave me a ride :-).
All other facilities made by the company were great. The lodges were clean, functional, and well-maintained. Actually, a couple of the lodges were rather luxurious, which was not what I expected but was happy to see. The arrangements were made with care, attention to detail, and worked out very nicely for me. All in all, a memorable 5 days in and around Arusha.

Northern Tanzania Trip
We had such a great time on our safari in Northern Tanzania (Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro). We saw a lot of animals and the beauty of the landscapes was just overwhelming. Everything was organized very well by Altezza Travel, they are absolutely professional. Our guide Tom was simply fantastic, we think that he is the best guide ever!! He made it possible to us to see a lot of animals, he was always punctual, always in a good mood, thanks to him we had a wonderful time. Also he told us a lot about local culture and we had a lot of interesting conversations.

Last September, My cousin and I was on 5-days safari with Altezza company. Abu was an outstanding and interesting guide. We are worried about our trip more than anything. When we arrived in Arusha, we quickly knew that our guide would be even better than expected. Abu is a great expert. His knowledge in wildlife was a high and the organization of the trip was impeccable. Such a wonderful trip was the most expected deed in our lives. Excellent journey to Tanzania

Right choice for everyone who wants the perfect safari!
As I decided to organize myself a 3-day safari in North Tanzania in March 2015 (Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Arusha), I contacted 8 or more companies per mail. All of them responded quite fast, but Altezza offered me the best program and price. The correspondance with them was always very friendly, personal, clear and fast. Although it was my first safari experience, I was relieved that everything went perfectly well, the minute we went out of the airport on arrival in Tanzania (our first time in this country). We spent 3 nights in very nice lodges, which were recommanded by Altezza. Now the most important thing : our driver-guide Ben! Travelling with him was just perfect : safe driving, sometimes not too fast to enjoy the landscape, sometimes fast to spot impressive animals. He gave us many informations about the animals and the country (I didn't expect to learn so many things!!), but he didn't talk all the time neither, that was perfect for us. Thanks to his patience and very acute and trained eyesight, we saw all the animals we wanted to see and many more... He was very adaptive and agreed to pick us up very early in the morning.

Their website is clear, nice, informative and have really useful tips for travelers who planning to go to Northern Tanzania. Based on our wishes, Altezza team constructed a 7 days Safari tour to Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti, arranged detailed program, all transfers, cosy accommodations, special brand new equipment, amazing guide and made our trip unforgettable!
The tour was well organised, combined several experiences and with a reasonable price. We especially liked Ngorongoro crater, where we saw the most animals and my dream - black rhino! The guide was knowledgeable, inspiring and with a good sense of humor. We fall in love with the nature, locals and the hospitality of the Altezza Travel company. Thank you so much! Amazing safari trip!
We had such an amazing time exploring national parks of Northern Tanzania on safari in January 2016. This was hands down the best trip either of us have been on! From start to finish, everything was so well planned and executed, that we never felt any of that normal vacation stress. Even when there was a minor issue with the weather and an outdoor activity, our itinerary was re-arranged so that we could still fit everything in.
All of our accommodations were absolutely incredible. We could not have picked them better ourselves! We especially loved how small each one was and how the staff/managers seemed genuinely interested in making our stay as memorable as possible.
In planning the trip, Altezza was incredibly responsive and worked with us to tweak our itinerary to fit in everything we wanted and some awesome suggestions we had not thought of (like the truly amazing experience with maasai tribe after Ngorongoro crater). We had a fantastic experience working with this travel company and will not hesitate to use them again for our next trip to Africa, which will hopefully be very soon!

A lifetime experience with Altezza
I cannot express how grateful I am to Altezza for organising my first solo adventure, and definitely the best trip of my life! It took me a while to choose the right program to join, because I did not know anything about Tanzanian National parks (million thanks to Stasia for answering all my silly questions with enviable patience!). I ended up choosing a 5-day safari, including 3 days in Serengeti. I was so afraid of going to another country on my own, but this fear went away as soon as I saw a smiling guy waving a sing board with my name on it at the airport exit gate. I met other members of my safari group the next morning and they were from all over the world: an old couple in theirs 70s from USA, who just climbed Kilimanjaro few days before (what excuse do you have now?), a beautiful young girl from Russia and a funny guy from Brazil. At 7:30 am our unforgettable adventure started.
I’ve been always fascinated by wild animals and untouched nature, but spent my whole life living in a buzzing city Berlin where people are always running somewhere. In Tanzania the time stops. I spent the whole hour watching a hyena crawl towards a dead zebra, cautiously looking around for a potential danger of other hungry predators. Mesmerizing! I cannot even name all animals we saw on our trip… lions, buffalos, infinite number of antelopes, elephants, giraffes, wild foxes, ostriches, caracals, leopards, zebras, hyenas, hyraxes and many many more! All lodges and hotels we stayed at were amazing! Tanzanian hospitality was above and beyond my expectations! Everyone was willing to make our stay perfect. And they definitely succeed! Sitting on the terrace and drinking cold Kilimanjaro beer while watching the sun goes down changing the colors of savanna - that is something I will never forget!
But the highlight of the trip was our guide Omary, who seems to know literally everything about every plant growing on Tanzanian land let alone with all animal breeds we met on our way. Do you know that there are more than 16 different species of antelopes live in Tanzania? Eland, Dik-DIk, Hartebeest, Topi, Tompson, Oribi… And now with a help of Omary, I can even distinguish them!
So once again, thank you Altezza Travel for the best wildlife experience, new friends from different parts of the world and an excellent customer service. Next time I visit Tanzania, I will definitely contact your amazing team again!
