Excellent holiday
The operator of Shinzelle Danielle suggested that we change our original plan to spend all our time in Skukuza camp, and it was obvious that she knew well what we might like. This change provided a more diverse countryside and wildlife experience.
However, as Mark mentioned sometime close to the beginning of our holiday, our conversations with Danielle were not as smooth as before, occasionally making us uncomfortable. It was apparent that she had a primary job of communicating with customers herself. The main surprise was that we started in Pretoriuskop Rest Camp instead of Skukuza Camp. It turned out to be a perfect choice, perhaps even better, as it was closer to the airport and very comfortable. Nevertheless, we believe we should have been informed of this change beforehand.
During our 4-night stay in Kruger National Park, we switched between two camps with clean and comfortable accommodations. We spent two nights in Pretoriuskop Rest Camp in the south and two nights in Letaba Rest Camp in the north. Both were good, but we particularly loved the latter because it was situated on the bank of a river, allowing us to see a variety of animals wandering around the water.
For the last three days, we enjoyed private luxury accommodations and an excellent day trip to Blyde River Canyon. This package included three private safaris, which were very enjoyable. We saw a lot of animals, except for the elusive leopard.
Our guide, Rufus, accompanied us for five days from morning to evening, filling that time with his deep knowledge of wildlife and nature. He was always happy, smiling, patient and willing to answer any questions we had.
Would we choose Shinzelle again? Absolutely. Everything worked smoothly, and we loved every minute of our trip, including the food, accommodations, people, countryside, and wildlife. The entire 7-day experience was exceptionally well-organized, starting with our pickup from Nelspruit Airport and concluding in Hoedspruit.

Made my dreams come true
We booked the four day Kruger and Private Reserve Tour with Danny, staying at Khaya Ndlovu Manor House. First of all, the accommodation and food was first class. The manor is beautifully decorated, with a deck area and infinity pool overlooking a water hole, where you can watch zebras and other wildlife come down to drink. The game drives were out of this world! Johnny our guide for Kruger was so knowledgeable and could spot all types of wildlife. We were extremely lucky and saw everything we could, and the trackers and guides at Khaya Ndlovu also went above and beyond to track cheetahs and lioness. Everything was perfectly organised by Danny, so we just had to sit back and soak up the whole experience.

Great Safari Adventure
Danielle kept us informed before and during our Safari. Jeffery, our guide, had 16 years experience and an eagle eye for spotting wildlife and bringing it to our attention. The Panorama tour was fantastic...but make sure you go when the weather is nice. Our hotel had large rooms, a welcoming and kind staff, and air conditioning that worked. (For Americans that are only used to high end US hotels, you may want to spend more money and request fancier accommodations...though I did enjoy our stay at our hotel.)

Service levels were more than I expected.
Living expectation was standard basic, but the food at the Lodge was outstanding & delicious, never disappointed with any meal & hosts were always very accommodating & obliging. Would definitely recommend them again

Great Safari with a competent and very friendly crew
I booked with Shinzelle after my daughter traveled with them a couple of years ago: I was not disappointed. Not only they are very professional, but they also make you feel like you're part of their family. Their guides are very knowledgeable about the animals and the ecosystem. They are also very safety conscious and respectful of the fragile environment they bring you in. They listen to your wishes and will try to accommodate them as much as possible. Their trucks are in very good condition and they keep the number of guests per truck low for everyone to have ample room and take the perfect shot.

Friendly staff and great guides
The safari tours were great (we saw the Big 5 twice over!), the lodging was enjoyably remote and rustic, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the local food was really tasty. Very enjoyable trip - would highly recommend.

What an amazing safari experience - truly incredible!
We have just returned home from our first visit to South Africa and our amazing safari holiday with Shinzelle Safaris. It's difficult to know where to begin as our trip was truly incredible and so many amazing memories were made!
Everything was organised very well, and Danielle was polite and friendly in communication before our stay and answered my many questions quickly. Our transfer was smooth and upon arrival at our accommodation we were met by Zami who showed us to our lovely cottage, which contained all that we needed for our stay to be comfortable. The grounds are lovely, very tranquil, and it was magical to watch the monkeys playing just to the side of our cottage and swinging through trees just in front of our door.
Our safari trips were amazing. We had 2 different guides organised through Shinzelle Safaris (Irvin and Kyro), and also a SAN Parks guide for our evening safari, all were knowledgeable and friendly and did all they could to make sure we had a pleasant experience and saw as much as possible during our time in Kruger. We also did the panoramic tour and learnt many interesting facts about the beautiful scenery of the local area.
Food and service at The Windmill were both fantastic. Breakfast was served as a breakfast pack for us to eat whilst out each day, and dinner was freshly prepared each evening and was truly delicious!
A huge thank you to Danielle, Brandon and the rest of the team at The Windmill and Shinzelle Safaris for making our safari holiday so amazing. It is something I will remember for years to come, and I will definitely be back in a few years to experience the magic of Kruger again with Shinzelle Safaris!

From the warm and efficient initial contact, all the way through to the emotional goodbyes, our safari holiday experience with Shinzelle Safaris was truly amazing and great value. From the outset Danielle was there to answer any and every query and detail, speedily and informatively. She arranged everything to run perfectly smoothly from pickup at Johannesburg Airport, the arrival, the accommodation, the meals, the safari times and itinerary, the Panoramic tour, and finally the drop off back at Johannesburg Airport. All of our tour guides were well informed, knowledgeable, professional, flexible and had our safety as a priority. The vehicles were new, clean, comfortable and reliable and afforded great viewing opportunities. The accommodation and dining area were modern with a rustic twist and with a hint of luxury, exactly to our taste and the bed was huge and super comfy. We loved all of the meals and my restricted diet was catered for perfectly. During our 3 night stay we went on safari into Kruger National Park on a night drive, a morning drive and also a whole day drive. We saw an incredible amount of diverse animals and birds including the big 5 and some amazing scenery on the Panoramic tour! Well done Shinzelle Safaris and thank you so much.

Completely Amazing!
Danielle and Brandon were simply excellent! From pick up to drop off all the details were taken care of. We saw a ton of animals and the panoramic day was incredible as well. The food they made was fantastic and they were great about accommodating an allergy in our party. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and relaxing. We were really impressed with how much the guides knew, not only about the park and animals, but also the history of South Africa. We had tons of questions and they had so much knowledge to share.
I would highly recommend Shinzelle to a trusted friend or family member, and I would eagerly re-book with them if i ever make it back to SA.
