Recommend without any hesitation.
Very efficient organization. From the time I contacted them 4 weeks prior to our vacation, they very quickly provided a great itinerary for 10 days and very accommodating in adjusting the dates. Three of us on this tour and they met us at the hotel and took care of everything till our return to the airport on time. The drivers, Patrick and Isaiah are are very careful and safe. They are very patient and knowledgeable. They know the local rangers and know where to go for must see things. Like the swimming hole in Buffalo Springs National parks. We are able to see all the animals close and the resorts picked for us were excellent. We made it clear that our purpose was to see as much wild life as possible and they did a great job accomplishing that. We are very satisfied with the service and it is well worth the money we paid. We will take vacation with Shanjoy again if we plan another tour in that part of the continent.

Shanjoy delivers exceptional bespoke service
We just returned from an epic 9 day (first time) Kenya trip. Our itinerary, which was meticulously crafted by the Shanjoy team, took us to Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Nakuru and Masai Mara. They were ultra responsive, available, patient, adaptable and overall lovely to deal with throughout the planning process and, since it was a last minute trip, had to contend with the added pressure of limited hotel availability. Rodah and Patrick (1) warmly greeted us at the airport, took us to our hotel in Nairobi and waited with us until we received our room key to ensure that checkin went smoothly. The next morning, we were met by our guide, Patrick (2), and the adventure began. Our land cruiser was excellent - very comfortable, huge windows, pop up roof, ample room for the three of us and stocked with snacks and beverages - and Patrick (2) was its master handler. Whether it was negotiating highway traffic, weaving around potholes or dealing with bumpy trails and challenging terrain for hours on end, Patrick (2) handled it like a boss, all while being on the lookout for wildlife. Speaking of which, Patrick (2) made it his mission to find the Big Five, which we did (a few times over)! We also had several exciting up close big cat encounters, including a couple of fresh kills. While luck undoubtedly had a role, Patrick (2)’s knowledge of the parks and animal behavior and patterns, his easygoing way of speaking with other guides (which led to information on sightings), his patience and his own genuine passion for seeing the animals set us up for these amazing moments. We enjoyed spending time with him and he was a big part of the reason our trip was such a success. We would definitely recommend specifically requesting Patrick (2) as guide when working with Shanjoy. Back at home base, Patrick (1) was busy troubleshooting when I accidentally left my phone behind, handling our mid-trip requests to make some changes to our return itinerary, taking care of us in and around Nairobi and just making sure that every moment of our trip went smoothly, all with a huge smile. A million thanks to the Shanjoy team!

Professional, responsive and attentive
We wanted to go to see wildlife at the Masai mara. But we had absolutely no idea how to book it. We went online, and found a website called safari bookings.com, which allowed us to filter down our selection. Number of nights, level of luxury and services, location, etc. We finally made a decision on what we wanted, and the website populated it with options. One of the most attractive was the one offered by Shanjoy Tours & Safaris. It met our requirements, and the price was right.
But I still had some inquiries so before booking I emailed them. I got a response later that evening. I had one more question. They responded within minutes. This was looking positive for me....
So we went ahead and booked a four day fly-in trip, and they put us up with Mara Intrepids, and amazing resort not five minutes from the Mara airstrip. They helped recommend a hotel in Nairobi, and were there promptly in the morning to pick us up and take us to the airport. They checked us in for our flight, and introduced us to the person who would collect us on the return trip. We were able to leave our luggage with them while we were away, which was super convenient.
We were never pestered for payment. We got a notice to pay the first 50% a few days after we made all the confirmations. And then we paid the balance shortly before the trip. I liked the fact there was some trust and the approach was very polite.
Emails were informative and contained the relevant vouchers as needed. My only complaint would be that I was not aware what resort I was going to or what airline I was flying, which would have been good to know up front. While these were embedded in the emails and attachments I received it would be nice to get a clear and concise summary of the trip, so that we are better prepared. This, however, did not detract from the overall experience.
The resort was world-class. The 45 minute flight was a super good option I would recommend to all, as it saves 6 hours each way in a car. And being picked up on our return to the airport by their staff for a quick hop over to the international airport just made everything effortless on our part.
Given we had no idea what we were doing at first, I am extremely pleased to have lucked out with this company, and all the arrangements they made on our behalf. Many thanks Shanjoy!

Our adventures were amazing. Toni our driver for 18 game drives became a part of our family.we never thought you could have seen the big 5 stayed at amazing lodges fly in and out and never need to worry about a thing ..would go back next month it was so amazing

Amazing Experience
Shanjoy Safaris and Tours provided an absolutely amazing and truly once-in-a-lifetime trip! From the start, they were very responsive to emails and easy to contact, making the booking process smooth and stress-free. We especially appreciated that everything was arranged for us, from airport pickup to airport dropoff, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy our adventure. A huge highlight of our experience were our driver/guides. Patrick 2, our guide in Kenya, was fantastic! His knowledge of the animals was impressive, and his enthusiasm made our sightings even more exciting. We were thrilled to see the Big 5 within our first two days, thanks to his expertise. Ledger, our guide in Tanzania, was also really good. He was equally knowledgeable and very patient, ensuring we had ample time to find and observe the animals. We truly appreciated both of our guides and their dedication to making our safari unforgettable. Flexible, responsive, and great value. Amazing trip.
We had an amazing trip. We reached out to a number of companies prior to the trip and Shanjoy was by far the most responsive. Rodah quickly and thoroughly responded to every question we had. While other companies had pre-set routes/tour packages, Shanjoy worked with us to craft an itinerary that we responsive to our preferences in terms of trip length, quality of lodging, and sites visited. The price proved to be a tremendous value. The guides ensured we made it safely from park to park to park in our nearly 1500km trip - and that we had ample viewing of dozens of impressive animals and landscapes, including lions, elephants, cheetahs, buffalo, numerous antelope species, zebras, hippos, buffalo, rhinos, and giraffes. Some of the lodging was extremely luxurious - others more rustic - but Shanjoy can work with you to find lodging at your preferred level. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Shanjoy Tours curated an unforgettable safari experience from start to finish.
I just came back from an incredible safari in the Maasai Mara, organised by Shanjoy Tours. From the very first exchange, I knew I wanted to book with them. They were so easy to deal with & everything felt seamless from start to finish.
They arranged a 3 day trip for me staying at Tipilikwani Luxury Tented Camp, which included all meals & safaris. The camp was stunning, right on the edge of the Mara. Each morning, we crossed the river & climbed into our jeeps, & just like that, we were on safari. We saw so many animals & spotted all of the Big Five multiple times.
The guides (who are also the drivers) were amazing. They were knowledgeable, experienced & well connected with other drivers so they always knew where to go for the best sightings. The food at the camp was also fantastic, with great variety & generous portions.
Because I didn’t have time to drive both ways (it’s around 6 hours), Shanjoy organised flights & all transfers, which made everything so easy. On the day I left the Maasai Mara, I had about six hours free before my international flight, & they made the most of it. They picked me up from the airport, took me to the Giraffe Centre, helped me fit in some shopping, & finished it all off with a late lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. Such a thoughtful & memorable way to end the trip.
Nothing was too much trouble. I would book with them again in a heartbeat & highly recommend them to anyone planning a safari in Kenya.
Special shout out to Rhoda, who was my go to in organising everything & kept me so well informed throughout. Also to Patrick Shanjoy himself, who personally looked after me, from airport pickups to taking photos at the Giraffe Centre & even helping me choose the best Kenyan coffee & tea to bring home. Their kindness & attention made the whole experience feel extra special.

AWESOME SAFARI EXPERIENCE WITH A PRIVATE TOUR THAT TRULY EXCEEDED MY EXPECATIONS
Whole hearted hats off to Shanjoy Tours (Beth our contact point and the guides Rio and Steven (Kenya) and Mustafa (Tanzania) for a memorable safari holiday. My friend and I had huge expectations of this trip and we truly enjoyed every day of the holiday well served by the Shajoy team. We picked Shanjoy because of their quick and sincere response to our emails and set up calls to understand our requirements and holiday plans. Their proposal was detailed which gave us the confidence to choose them. The 12-day private tour was superb as the guides/drivers were knowledgeable about the parks and the wild animals, providing us with interesting information of their living habits. The landcruiser is clean and comfortable. The guides also tried their very best to find the wild animals that we wanted to see and even drove close to the animals giving us the best shot for our photos. Though late June was not the peak season and migration not yet started, we were still able to see large crowds of wildebeest and zebras marching towards the river and crossing roads at close distance. This is more relaxing than during peak season.
We also like the accomodation which had both tented rooms overseeing the park as well as cottage style hotels with courteous service and well maintained facilities. We were extremely lucky to see elephants grazing in front of us while having breakfast. We would recommend travellers to select luxury accomodation even with a slightly higher price as the view and experience (sun rise and sunset) after a long day of game drive was totally worth it. We also visited the Maasai village in Kenya and a banana plantation in Tanzania which I think is a nice break from the game drive and get to know the local heritage.
