First Class.
This was our second Photographic tour with Shanjoy Tours and Safaris, and we will be back again, I am sure. We would not have came back again if our previous trip in 2024 had not been first class in every way.
Everything has been great, from the prompt and concise communications from Patrick and Beth in the Office, and the great service provided by Tour driver and Guide Patrick (P2)
All services provided were 5 Star in every way, and good vale for money.

Very well organized tour, everything ran to time and was exactly as planned on the itinerary.
We had a fantastic 8 day safari tour of Kenya and Tanzania with Shanjoy. The drivers/guides were great, very knowledgeable and keen to share their experiences about the wildlife, bird life and anything thing else we asked about. The jeeps were very comfortable and we were given warnings about particular rough patches of road. The communication was excellent during the planning/ booking process and all the way through and during the tour. Our expectations were met and we were not disappointed with any of the tour, accommodation or itinerary. Everyone we met associated with the company were very friendly, welcoming and genuinely worked hard to make our tour a unique experience for us.

Fantastic
We did a 7-day safari covering Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire.
Rhoda was extremely dedicated and attentive to all our requests.
The lodges she suggested were perfect — comfortable, well located and full of charm.
The drivers were very professional and knowledgeable. In Tanzania, Isaya made our experience even more enriching by sharing so much about the country, its culture and its wildlife.
Everything ran smoothly, and we couldn’t be happier with the overall experience. Highly recommended!

An unforgettable Safari experience with Shanjoy

Excellent value 10-day Kenya & Tanzania safari with smooth planning, great support, and guiding
Our family had the trip of a lifetime on a 10-day safari through Kenya and Tanzania, organized by Shanjoy Tours. From start to finish, the experience was handled with professionalism, care, and attention to detail.
Planning & Support
Martin was incredibly communicative throughout the planning process. He respected our inputs, reassured us whenever we had questions, and made sure everything was arranged according to our preferences. During the trip itself, he remained available for any issues or questions that came up, which gave us great peace of mind. It’s clear that Shanjoy truly cares about their clients and works hard to make sure every trip is both memorable and enjoyable.
Kenya Portion
We began in Kenya with our guide and driver, Steve, who took us to Lake Nakuru and the Maasai Mara. He was excellent at spotting wildlife and suggesting the best times and lengths for game drives. We also visited a Maasai village (an additional $35 per person), which was an interesting cultural experience to witness their dances and talk to them. Steve was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and always attentive. He quickly began to feel like a childhood friend, and I would highly recommend requesting him as your guide if possible.
Tanzania Portion
At the border, we switched drivers as required by local regulations. There were a few initial misunderstandings when we first arrived, but Shanjoy handled everything smoothly and quickly, and the rest of the Tanzania tour went perfectly. We explored the Serengeti, staying in incredible tented accommodations where we could hear animals at night—an unforgettable experience to have an elephant literally next to your tent at night or hyenas cackling perhaps way too close by.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area was a highlight of the trip, with breathtaking views of the crater and an astonishing variety of wildlife all in one place. Tarangire National Park was another gem, where we saw herds of elephants and the iconic baobab trees that make the landscape so unique.
Optional Add-Ons
For those considering extras, hot-air balloon rides are mainly available at the Maasai Mara and Serengeti. They typically range from $400–$500 per person depending on the season and park. While pricey, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime way to experience the savannah from above.
Overall Impression
If we were to do this trip again, we would absolutely choose Shanjoy. The value was excellent, and they even surprised us with upgrades to our accommodations at Maasai Mara and in Arusha. Their professionalism, personal care, and dedication to ensuring we had a remarkable trip stood out at every stage. Also, if you are trying to catch the migration, perhaps book more for July time frame. We had just missed it by a week while visiting at the end of August/early September.
We cannot thank Martin, Steve, and the entire Shanjoy team enough for making this safari such a memorable experience for our family. If you're trying to figure out which tour operator to go with, don't look further.

Extraordinary knowledge that transformed the mind
Our East Africa PHOTO Safari with **Shanjoy Tours** was nothing short of extraordinary — truly a bucket list experience that exceeded every expectation! From start to finish, the entire trip was flawlessly planned and executed with precision, care, and intention.
Beth handled every detail with such thoughtfulness, and it really showed — each experience felt personal and curated just for us. The accommodations were stunning, the food was incredible, and the people we met along the way made us feel like family.
Martin was so very helpful and available almost 24/7 for any questions during the planning process and arranged to meet us during our safari which was a nice personal touch.
We were fortunate to be hosted by **Patrick and Kem** for 11 unforgettable days. Their deep knowledge of wildlife, especially animal behavior, added so much depth to our game drives. Their ability to anticipate animal movements and position yhe custom Land Cruiser perfectly made for some of the most action-packed photo opportunities imaginable.
We received **5-star service** every step of the way and truly had a marvelous time. This was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure — and we’re already planning our next journey with Shanjoy in 2026!

A Magical Safari Experience – Beyond All Expectations!
We had the most incredible safari experience with Shanjoy, and it’s a trip we will remember for a lifetime. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly organized — smooth transfers, comfortable accommodations, and a well-planned itinerary that balanced adventure, relaxation, and breathtaking wildlife encounters.
A very special mention goes to our guide, Rio, who truly made the experience exceptional. Rio was not only highly knowledgeable about the wildlife and ecosystems of the Maasai Mara, but also deeply passionate, patient, and incredibly intuitive. Thanks to his expert tracking skills and understanding of animal behavior, we saw everything from a cheetah hunt to a river crossing!
Rio also went above and beyond to ensure we were safe, comfortable, and fully engaged throughout the drive. We learned so much from him, and his warm personality and sense of humor made every moment enjoyable.

Excellent service, experienced guide.
Shanjoy provides excellent services with experienced and knowledgeable guide. Our family had a great and unforgettable days in Kenya and TZ. We are lucky to see the big 5 on the second day we arrived in Masai Mara, and captured the cheetah successful hunting and the wildbeast and zebra crossing river. Special thanks to our guide Rio, who always positioned us in a good spot to ensure we never missing anything and get good videos and pictures.

Great Safari
We had a great 7-day safari with Shanjoy Tours and Safaris. Everything was perfectly organised, from the smooth transfers to the well-chosen lodges and amazing game drives.

Overall an excellent safari experience with Shanjoy. Our driver guide in Tanzania, Erick, was highly professional and truly exceptional. My number one goal was to see the migration river crossings and he made sure we achieved this! I’m very happy we chose to book with Shanjoy. They were very responsive and helpful from start to finish.
