There is something kind but something to be desired
I searched several companies for a four-day safari. I communicated with some of them, and chose Sereneti Wakanda because it had the fastest feedback and the best reviews. The young president tried to help us in every aspect, including hotel reservations other than safari. As everyone knows, safari tours are expensive. The payment is based on a contract with the company to establish a trust relationship. But we had a different tour from the contract from the first day. I had to go to Tarrengirre on the first day of the contract, but they took me manyara lake saying that the lake was better. In fact, I was a little embarrassed because I chose to exclude some of the companies that didn't go to Tarengirle. They said there were more animals in Lake Manyara, but even if it was true, I wanted to go to Tarengyre, so I was sorry about that. The guide(Simba) was not very kind to us who could not speak English. The problem occurred on the third day. Apparently, the contract said that on the third morning we were going to a game drive to watch the sunrise. But our group was divided into two lodgings, so the guide came to pick us up only after the sun had already risen. On the way, I asked why I didn't go to see the sunrise, but the guide said, "Sunrise? The sun is already out.' I was Angry, I emailed boss to complain about this. the guide who spoke to the boss didn't apologize to me but rather got angry. " Instead of telling him, I told the president right away," he said. He also said that it would have been difficult to see the sunrise anyway because of the bad weather today. Even if it was true, it had to be carried out in accordance with the contract. Satisfaction is a matter for me to judge. Personally, I expected the sunrise the most during the safari tour. And if he couldn't drive a sunrise game, he had to explain to me in advance that he didn't do it for some reason before I complain. Before I left the tour, I was told from boss that our group's accommodations were divided into two. When I heard the story, I was worried that the guide could waste a lot of time picking us up from two places. So I asked how far the two accommodations are from each other. The president said they were close. However, the guide said, "It was hard for me to come and go because it was an hour away from two lodgings." What the hell is true? Of course, we watched all of the Big Five. However, it was quite regrettable that I did not go to sunrise or Tarengirre, which I expected. And I am not quite satisfied that I did not follow the contract and did not seek any concessions from me in advance. But our chef Suleimani was quite friendly and kind. The nature of Serengeti was so wonderful and beautiful, but some of them left something to be desired.

Posted on Mar 4, 2020Hello Hyeonsu,
Thank you for taking the time to post your review on your recent experience with Serengeti Wakanda Tours and Safaris. Whilst i am most pleased that you enjoyed your overall experience , i am saddened that there were some areas of concern for you, especially with the unkindness atmosphere that you felt from our guide and missing the sunrise on day 3. Please accept our deepest apologies for letting you down and rest assured, disciplinary proceedings have been taken to the responsible guide which includes writting an apology letter to you.
However, i would also like to clarify on the change of itinerary from Tarangire to Lake Manyara on day 1. One of the core values of our company is customer satisfaction, that is why i had to brief you on the changes the day before your safari, as the majority of the animals had been migrating from Tarangire to Lake Manyara during the wet season. Moreover, on day 2, we added a game drive to Ndutu so as you could witness the migration (we had to pay for Ndutu park fees on our expense and we never asked for extra payments from you or the rest of the group). This was all done with the good intention of giving you a phenomenal experience with maximum satisfaction.
With all that being said, please accept our 20% discount price for any future bookings from you or any person that will be recommended by you.
Thank you and goodluck!
With kind regards,
Bartho

Committed
The safari experience was very good, mainly thanks to our guide Bin, who was exceptional. He was kind, caring, professional, and did his absolute best to ensure we had an amazing experience throughout the trip.
The only downside was the food, which did not meet our expectations. Improving the food quality would greatly enhance the overall experience.

Experience
We opted for a budget safari, staying in simple lodges and tented camps. Goodluck organized the entire tour based on our preferences, starting with Tarangire, followed by Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater and we ended the tour at Lake Eyasi while visiting the Hadzabe tribes. Goodluck helped during planning the trip, he swiftly responded all the time before but also during the trip. While the accommodations were basic, the incredible wildlife more than made up for it. Our guide, Louis, and chef, Idrissa, took excellent care of us throughout the journey. Thanks to Louis, we had amazing sightings, including the Big Five. It was a fantastic adventure—an authentic experience surrounded by stunning landscapes and breathtaking nature. Each park had its own unique beauty, making the journey truly unforgettable.
Thanks again Seregenti Wakanda, we had an unforgettable experience and truly enjoyed our safari.

Really nice but overpriced
It was an amazing experience and we were really lucky to see lots of animals.
Our tour guide and all the transports plus flights were perfectly organised.
Unfortunately we just had a limited amount of drinks on the tour (the driver drank a lot of them). They couldn’t get refilled at our night over stop? Even after asking nicely.
The first national park (Tarangire) was very crowded and the lunch spot was not in a natural area and too touristic (100 other jeeps; no lie).
The lodge (Ngorongoro) was beautiful! The pool, the rooms and the atmosphere. Unfortunately no drinks were included at all (we paid for a tour with drinks included).
The second day at the crater was a 10/10!! Highly recommended. Big 5, nice nature, more natural lunch sport (still many people around but not as crowded as on day one).

Posted on Jan 9, 2025Dear Lisa-Maria,
Thank you for your feedback. We’re delighted that you appreciated the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, enjoyed your lodge’s ambiance, and found our safari arrangements well-organized. It’s always our goal to ensure our guests have a memorable experience, and we’re glad many aspects of your trip were enjoyable.
We’d like to address your concerns regarding the drinks provided and clarify some misunderstandings.
For a 2-day safari for three guests, we typically allocate two beers per person per day and one to two bottles of wine per group per night. For your safari, we went above and beyond by including 18 beers and 3 bottles of wine, along with an ample supply of non-alcoholic beverages such as sodas and unlimited bottled water. This was more than enough to cover your trip. However, all the alcoholic drinks were consumed on the first day. When additional drinks were requested, our guide, Benja, explained that the stock packed for the safari had been finished.
Regarding the claim that Benja drank your drinks, we must emphasize that this is incorrect. Benja, like all our guides, adheres to a strict professional code of conduct that prohibits drinking alcohol on duty. We have the utmost trust in our team, and this behavior would be entirely inconsistent with our standards.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that, as stated in your itinerary, drinks at lodges are not included and must be purchased separately. We ensure that drinks are available during the safari drives as part of your package, and this was fulfilled as promised.
Finally, we understand your frustration with the crowded picnic spot at Tarangire. The Matete picnic site was particularly busy on December 26th (Boxing Day), which is a major holiday, drawing large numbers of both local and international visitors. While we strive to offer tranquil settings, the crowd levels during peak holidays are beyond our control.
We deeply value your feedback and will continue to improve our services to provide the best possible experience. Should you have further suggestions or wish to discuss your experience in more detail, we’d be happy to hear from you.
Thank you for choosing Serengeti Wakanda Tours & Safaris. We hope to welcome you back for an even more unforgettable adventure in the future.
Warm regards,
Bartho Fissoo

Serious company
It’s a serious company. Almost everything worked as planned. The owner, Bartho, replies very quickly, showing they are trustful. The guide, Mike, was very nice. He even managed very well when one of the clients asked for something the guy that booked the tour for her had promised. The cooker was fantastic also. I wasn't expecting much of the food on the road, but had some delicious dinners, better than others i had in restaurants. That said, remember that a budget safari does not have any luxury, even the most common ones. The lodge we stay in is very basic, with no AC. The structure on camping sites are very disappointing. One of the campings does not have hot water in the shower. The other one has just 2 or 3 showers and then there is a long line to use them. And the toilet is indian style.
A small thing they could improve is that they have beer and wine on the road, but the beer is hot, so it is hard to drink. And during the dinner in the lodge, the beer is not included as advertised, we had to pay for it. But i definitely recommend this company!

Perfect tour start to finish
With so many tour companies it can be challenging to decide which company to confirm. Serengeti Wakanda was an obvious choice for us from the start due to the incredible communication and ability to tailor a safari itinerary to exactly how we wanted it. Aishwarya was our point of communication and she was very organised and reliable. Once arriving in Tanzania, Joshua picked us up from the Airport, helped us sort phone plans and provided a tonne of local knowledge for our trip. From there we met our guide, Julius and our chef Sulle. There aren’t enough words to describe how much we loved our tour with Julius and Sulle. We felt safe with our guide the whole time and he ensured we had great game drives each time, seeing a huge variety of animals. Not only was he informative, professional and caring, Julius was also fun and we got along very well as a group. Sulle made the most incredible meals and also felt like another member of our family.
10/10 experience and one I will definitely recommend to any friend or family planning a trip to Tanzania. Thank you Serengeti Wakanda.

Highly knowledgeable guide, going above and beyond
As two female travellers safety was very important to us and Wakanda took this seriously from the outset. We had such an incredible time from beginning to end with a great level of communication from Beatrice our point of contact. Zepha our guide was reliable and very knowledgable, knowing all the great angles to ensure some good views of each park and the big 5. We even got to see the wildebeest migration! Thank you so much for organising a trip of a lifetime!

A time I will never forget, AMAZING !
During the tour you see so much!
Beautiful nature and a lot of animals.
The guide was also very kind and gives me a lot of information about the animals and where they live.
Also small details.
Definitely recommended for people who love animals and nature.
It’s a 10/10 experience, did not want to return back home!
It has been one of the best trip in Tanzania, the hospitality here is just top notched!! Truly one for the keeps! I went there with my sisters and brother-in-law and we had such an enjoyable time, we didn’t want to leave!
My sister was the one that liased with Aishwarya and she has been so forthcoming to help us throughout our plans for this trip.
On the first day, we had a short hike up on Mt Kilimanjaro with Samuel (guide), Arnold (junior guide) and Fabien (driver). He shared the history and lots of interesting facts , accompanied by his good vibes.
Then the remaining of the trip, we did a 7 day safari circuit through Tarangire, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, with Serengeti Wakanda Tours and Safaris, with Andrew! With his years of expertise, he managed to bring us up close to the animals, so versatile with his plans just so that he could bring about the best experience to us. His way to narrate stories of Tanzania captivated our hearts through good sense of humour. Even made us coffee though he is not a coffee drinker. Abdullah and his wife also prepared meals for our picnic lunches daily. We definitely appreciate that!
For the tribe experience, we had Musa that took us on this journey, it was a wild one! Hah, we even managed to run along with the tribes there!
Can I also mentioned the hospitality at all our accommodations?! Under the Shade Safari, Ngorongoro Mareira Mountain View Lodge, Lala Salama Camp, Moonbow Lodge & Kibo Palace Hotel. We were greeted by Jumbo Bwana, nice food, great company and warmth in all the places we went!
Everyone we met along the way, gave the best Tanzanian hospitality. Our safety and comfort was very much assured. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back again!! We loved it!! 💕
