Best Experience Ever!
The BEST experience. I was a little nervous at first about taking the train to Mikumi but it was completely seamless, clean, and well organized. The Safari experience with Damson itself was a day I will remember for the rest of my life and look back on fondly. We saw an amazing assortment of animals, including lions, elephants, giraffes and a wide variety of the flora as well. Damson has excellent scientific awareness and understanding of the local ecology and wildlife, and patiently explained extremely interesting details about everything. Also, as I was travelling solo, Damson deftly used the opportunity arising from the lack of noise and greater manoeuvrability to show me as much as possible; the highlight was being able to view the king of the pride at Mikumi, Kipara, at an arms length while he napped. Last but not least, I had an amazing time driving back and forth with Isaya - he was extremely knowledgeable about Tanzanian culture and economics, and all around capital fellow who is guaranteed to have an amazing future ahead of him. Incredible experience
Our tour guide, Danford, was extremely professional. Punctual, knowledgeable, and friendly. We had some incredible encounters with so many animals - lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, hippos, and lots of other creatures. Danford had interesting information about all of the animals, as well as the plants, geography, and history of the area, which provides an interesting, holistic understanding of Ruaha National Park.

Amazing experience
I had an amazing experience on this safari, and a big part of that was thanks to our incredible guide, Saloniki, and our skilled driver, Adamu. Saloniki’s knowledge about the wildlife and the environment was outstanding, and he made every moment fascinating with his insights and stories. Adamu’s driving skills were impressive, especially when navigating tricky terrains to give us the best possible views of the animals. Together, they made the trip unforgettable. I highly recommend this safari for anyone looking for an authentic and memorable adventure!

Highly professional tour operator with an excellent guide and fantastic accommodation
My friend and I went on a two-day safari of Ruaha National Park, staying at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge for two nights. We are a wonderful experience, thanks to our guide, Danford, the excellent service from Kihindo Tours and Safaris, and the people working at the lodge. We saw many animals, including a leopard and three cheetahs. The price for a private tour was valuable for money. I highly recommend Kihindo Tours and Safaris.

Unforgettable Safari and Hike Experience with an Amazing Team!
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a safari in Mikumi National Park and a hike to Sanje Falls in Udzungwa Mountain National Park with Kihindo Tours and Safaris, and it was truly unforgettable! From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to ensure I had an amazing time.
Saloniki, our guide, was outstanding, knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly passionate about the wildlife and landscapes. The drivers, Jackson and Juhudi, were equally exceptional. Their professionalism, and genuine care made the entire journey smooth, safe, and enjoyable.
The safari itself was breathtaking. The wildlife sightings were incredible, thanks to the team’s expertise in navigating the park and spotting animals, especially the Lions. The hike to Sanje Falls was equally magical, with stunning views and a serene atmosphere that made the effort well worth it.
I can’t thank Kihindo Tours and Safaris enough for their dedication to creating such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an adventure in Tanzania. You be in the best hands!

An excellent-organized 3 days tour at Mikumi park for a great safari
The overall experience was just awesome. Kihindo tours organised everything from the very beginning until the end of our tour. Mikumi park was also great, we saw all of the possible animals (elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, buffaloes, impalas, etc) and all of them very close to us. I have no negatives to add. The only thing I would avoid next time would be the maasai village which is very touristic. All in all, I truly recommend Kihindo Tours.
P.s.1: Thanks Isaiah for the nice transfer to Mikumi park and all the interesting information he gave us.
P.s.2: Thanks Danford the Legolas of the safari for the nice game driving. He could see animals within 5kms and get you there in a few minutes.

Welcoming and relaxed with a lot of knowledge.
For a three day tour it was the perfect choice from Dar, with really good vakue for the money. We especially enjoyed that we had three different safaris (by boat, car and foot) and the cosy resort (silent and genuine) with friendly and helpful staff!

Great experience! We were a group of three from Finland and visited Mikumi for a 1-night, 2-day safari at the beginning of December. Everything was well-organized and went smoothly, from communication and pickups to activities. The accommodation and food were of high quality. Price was very reasonble. We highly recommend Kihindo Tours & Safaris if you’re planning a safari!
Our safari guide - Michael was really good, he had amazing positive energy and was very knowledgeable about Mikumi and the animals there. He was very dedicated to making sure that we would get the most out of our experience in Mikumi, whether that was seeing as many of the animals there as possible or giving us tidbits of information about various things regarding the national park. We were very glad that he was our guide for this safari. On the 2nd day we went on a bushwalk with a local Maasai guide, where we learned more about the plants and birds of the area before visiting a Maasai tribe to learn more about their way of life. It was a very enjoyable experience.
The timing (beginning of December) was perfect, with slightly cloudy weather that wasn’t unbearably hot, and it wasn’t peak tourist season. Mikumi is a great choice if you’re planning a short safari, as the area is smaller compared to the Serengeti, making it possible to see a variety of animals in a short amount of time.
