Abner and Team were Amazing!

SO I DID MY RESEARCH FOR MONTHS AS THIS WAS GONNA BE OUR FIRST SAFARI EVER ..I READ REVIEWS , LOOKED AT YOUTUBE VIDEOS ETC , BUT IT ALL KEPT BRINGING ME BACK TO ONGERI EXPEDITIONS ! SO I GATHERED COURAGE AND MADE A CALL TO THE OWNER , ABNER . FROM THE MOMENT I CALLED HIM , HE WAS ABSOLUTELY RESPONSIVE AND ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS GIVEN THAT I DIDN'T EVEN MAKE ANY APPOINTMENTS WITH HIM . From the day I contacted Ongeri Expeditions until the day we left Kenya, our experience with this tour operator was exceptional! Abner is a lovely person and a joy to work with. We were in constant communication and he never failed to answer my many questions. He organized our trip to Uganda to go Gorilla Trekking and then on to Kenya for safari in three different and distinct areas. Everything was taken care of. We didn’t have to think about anything but having a fabulous time. Being from Canada it was difficult to find a tour operator and we are so grateful to have been recommended to Ongeri Expeditions. Can’t wait to book with them again.

The team at Ongeri Expeditions is absolutely phenomenal!
Where do I even begin?!? Ongeri Expeditions left no stone unturned while perfectly planning our DREAM safari vacation! From the very first email inquiry, they were on top of every detail. I had the pleasure of working very closely with Cazeah (Qazeah) so I would love to give her a special shout-out! She was available by email, text, phone around the clock! She answered every question in a timely manner and provided responses and solutions that were practical for us! I told her exactly what we hoped to see and do and she delivered with ideas every time! We added on a day-trip at the last minute and she coordinated and turned it around in less than 24 hours (that too in peak season-- talk about efficiency!). Working with Ongeri Expeditions was truly a stress-free experience and I wouldn't do it any other way. They took care of the details so my husband & I could truly soak in the beauty of Masai Mara! I would also like to highlight the help they provide at the airport. They created a smooth experience through customs after a long and tiring 24 hours of travel. They have a point person at the airport to help with luggage, purchase of SIM cards, and transportation to the hotel. We felt like we were on vacation from the minute we landed because they were able to help us through the busy airport experience. I cannot praise Cazeah enough- thank you for providing us such a 5-star experience! I also had the pleasure of connecting with the owner and CEO of Ongeri Expeditions, Abner (a.k.a Avner Lux), and he was extremely humble and helpful as I worked through what areas and destinations I wanted to visit while in Kenya. He's also extremely well-traveled so his advice and expertise were greatly appreciated. In addition to helping us book our accommodations and flight transfers to/from Masai Mara, Ongeri Expeditions also booked our excursions such as the hot air balloon safari (truly a once in a lifetime opportunity). To top it all off, Abner included a night safari for us at no charge to us (this was beyond thoughtful & generous) and it ended up being the highlight of our trip! It's evident that Abner cares about his clients and he takes their business seriously. He did whatever he could to make this the most memorable trip for us. This is a reflection of the great company he has created as well! Ongeri Expeditions also made sure to remind the camp of our dietary restrictions (vegetarian) and my birthday (which led to the most memorable birthday celebration). Overall, our trip to Kenya's Masai Mara wouldn't have been possible without Ongeri Expeditions! They went above and beyond our expectations (5+++ stars!!) I cannot recommend Ongeri Expeditions enough and I will definitely use them to book ALL of my future trips to the continent of Africa & beyond! If you're looking for a tour operator, look no further! Amazing Experience
Great company to use to arrange your luxury or standard safari in Kenya, we booked through them at first we was a bit reluctant but June our agent was amazing. I can’t find words to thank her enough for all she done for us and for always being very genuine, happy and responsive. The service was great, the information communication was very good and during our stay she was very responsive and guided us with anything we needed so much so we booked a holiday when in Kenya with them to Swahili beach and arranged all flights and made the whole experience seemless.
If you’re reading this, stop reading and book with them that’s all I can say. Enjoy your safari it’s an amazing experience

Excellent, best trip my wife and I could have wished for. Made our honeymoon super special
My wife and I wanted to go on safari as part of our trip to east Africa for our honeymoon. It’s safe to say we could not have had a better experience booking through Ongeri Expediations in particular with Zippy who was our tour operator. She was fantastic, always on hand to support with anything we needed, her communication was great always keeping us updated as and when we needed information.
Ongeri booked us onto Kichwa Tembo camp in Masai Mara and it’s safe to say it was the best 4 days my wife and I had every experienced and we cannot wait to go back already, and will definitely be using ongeri Expediations and zippy to support us on our next trip!
It was great value for money and we would highly recommend anyone to use them if they are thinking about booking safari!
We even booked the hot airballon add on which is a must! Unfortunately it was cancelled on the day due to the wind which was out of everyone’s control but zippy was on hand straight away to ensure we were seamlessly booked onto the hot airballon experience the very next day and we managed to have the best experience we have ever had floating over the Masai Mara and seeing it in all its glory. We are very grateful for zippy help throughout our entire experience and look forward to using ongeri and working with zippy again!

Martin was so kind, patient and friendly. Simply amazing!
I booked a private safari with Ongeri and told then what kind of experience I wanted and I was so happy to see I made the right choice in going with them. Cazeah was extremely understanding of what i was looking for and she helped me book the right package. She helped me with information regarding vaccines and visas, and we went through a briefing of what i could expect on the trip. She was very present and always got back to me in a timely fashion. They booked me at the spirit of masai mara, a lodge in the conservancy, and had Martin as my guide. He picked me up in Nairobi, and we drove to the Mara, stopping along the way in different towns and experiencing the country a bit. It was wonderful. Martin knew that with the private tour I wanted to stay away from crowds and loud noises and just take in being with the animals in there natural habitat, undisturbed. He would drive quietly and carefully, almost instinctively knowing when to stop for pictures or just to observe, and when to keep going. His driving was beyond amazing, we went off reading along so many different types of terrains, seeking out the animals, and throughout the entire 4 days Martin was patient with me, kept me safe and was just overall such a kind person. He really made me feel welcome and comfortable. His knowledge of the Mara and the animals and the culture are rich, and he shared many stories with me, which I appreciated. I will return to Africa, and book with Ongeri again, and specifically woth Martin as my guide again.

Worth Every Dollar
Having gone to a safari before, the safari offered by Ongeri Expeditions was way different and the luxury level cannot be unmatched! We enjoyed all the four destinations we went to; Amboseli - we saw the big elephants, Samburu - we were lucky to spot all the special five, Ol Pejeta - This conservancy was special to us, we saw the last two northern white rhinos and that was amazing and finally we finished with Masai Mara - were we saw the big five and had breakfast with the lions !
My family and I want to thank Abner for organizing such a great safari! All went well and we really appreciate. I recommend Abner and the team at Ongeri Expeditions if you’re looking for a well planned luxury safari.

Phenomenal
Alex K. was a pleasure to deal with from day one until the end. He was courteous to make sure all my needs were met, my dietary restrictions were catered for, I was picked up from the airport and transferred to next airport with ease. He followed up with me and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the planning process and recommended a good time to have fly down to make it in time to view the migration. My stay at &Beyond Kichwa Tembo was beautiful, peaceful, and nothing short of tranquil. Alex also recommended Tele as my tour guide and he couldn't have been more right about the choice. Tele was a natural at his job and genuinely passionate, and without Alex's recommendation I wouldn't have had a truly amazing experience that I had. I know this is always a team effort so thank you to everyone who contributed in making my first solo trip to Africa the most marvelous and memorable one. Special shout-out to Alex. Amazing Experience in Masai Mara
We contacted Ongeri Expeditions through safaribookings.com for safari in Masai Mara. I was in contact with Cazeah from the beginning. The communication with Cazeah was really good. Every time there were any questions she replied to me immediately. From initial discussions, customising the tours as per our need, choosing the camp in Masai Mara, arranging our pick up and drop off :everything went very smooth. Cazeah was very nice to arrange everything for us. We stayed in Emayian luxury camp in Masai Mara and our guide was Martin. We really enjoyed our stay, food, bush breakfast in our camp. Martin is a really nice and knowledgeable guide. He picked us from the airport and took care of us throughout the trip. He made sure we spot everything during our game drive. He put so much effort in our game drive. We really appreciate it. We are really happy that we had such a wonderful experience. It was an experience of lifetime. Thanks a lot Ongeri Expeditions, Cazeah and Martin.
