Incredibly professional, personable, and knowledgeable
My best friend and I booked a private safari and we have had the most amazing experience with Top Selected Tours and with John. We saw ALL of the big 5 thanks to him!!! At John’s recommendation, we changed our original itinerary of Northern Serengeti to stay within the central Serengeti instead, as earlier than expected rains meant animals had already started moving south again. Day 1 and we saw 4 of the Big 5 (lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo) plus some amazing giant birds (secretary birds, vultures, ostriches) as well as giraffes, warthogs, jackals, hippos…. and a whole family of cheetahs!!! Plus more animals that I can’t even list… And we saw an incredible total of THIRTY ONE (31!) LIONS on our safari!!! And a lion hunt!!! Can’t thank John enough for his professionalism and insight, he always knew where to be to see the animals and where to position the car to have a front row view while staying incredibly respectful of the wildlife. You can tell he has a real passion for his work, for the wildlife, and for the Serengeti. We felt incredibly safe and cared for as two young women traveling. I would never want to safari with anyone else.

Amazing 4 days of safari with Dommy
We had 4 days of safari with Top Selected Tours and Dommy as a Guide. We saw so many animals, including all the big five. Our highlights were two male lions walking by our car 2 meters from us and cheeta with a one week old baby.
Also the lodges that the company arranged for us were all very nice. The nicest one was the one in Serengeti where we could see hippos from our balcony and hear lions at night. And the night sky of Serengeti is something out of this world!

Professional guides with a deep understanding of both people and animals.
I can't stop thinking about our safari experience. It had been my longtime wish—and now, it’s truly a dream come true. Jackson was an excellent guide, with exceptional driving skills, a keen eye for detail, and just the right touch of humor. And with just the right amount of patience, allowing us to capture those rare, special moments like the great migration river crossing. We were lucky enough to spot all of the Big Five. Beyond the Big Five, we were lucky to encounter cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, zebras, and others we had wished for. The accommodations were excellent, and waking up in the heart of the wilderness was truly special. We were most impressed by the Serengeti, and we're already planning to return—this time with our son. Thank you once again for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. We loved it! There are already a few things on my wishlist for the next time.

The best part, however, was our personal guide, John. He led us confidently through all the stops on the safari and explained everything wonderfully.

A professional and personalized Safari trip
Two of us and Jackson completed the safari trip together.
In terms of the travel process, Jackson is a very experienced guide. With his help, we saw the Big Five very easily and witnessed the spectacular wildebeest crossing the river. He also took us to many private spots on the Serengeti that are rarely visited. Several times, we were the first to spot lions. Moreover, he could always predict the animals' next moves within the safari convoy and lead us to the best viewing spots in advance. Even on several occasions, leopards walked right past our vehicle.
In terms of hardware conditions, the vehicles of Top Selected Tour are very new. Meanwhile, their guides are highly skilled drivers. Throughout the journey, our vehicle did not encounter any problems. And following Jackson's advice, all the hotels we stayed at were excellent. Also, our foods are all delicious every day.
Jackson was an exceptional guide, who not only shared his deep knowledge of the local culture but also assisted us in resolving all travel-related issues. He even arranged a day trip to the charming town of Moshi. Additionally, his English was impeccable, with a clear accent, and he always tried to use simple words and gestures to explain the knowledge about various animals to us.

They are professional, with knowledge where to spot animal and with a lot sense of humor
We had really nice time with our guide. Important is that he was reading our mood and his decisions were always right so we spot all animals we wanted and the most important is that we saw the river crossing. We have respect to the animals and nature, what was not noticed from all safari drivers.
The BEST safari tour guide!
We chose Tanzania and Top Selected Tour for our honeymoon, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. The experience could not have been more unforgettable, especially because we had Jackson as our safari tour guide. We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara.

1) Jackson is never tired to bring you around.
He always encouraged us to make the most of our time, no matter how early it was in the morning or how many hours we had already spent outside. Every time we were ready, he was ready too, full of energy and excitement. What stood out most was that he didn’t just “take us around”, he made thoughtful suggestions on where to go and when, so that we had the best chance to see animals in their natural setting. You could feel that he truly enjoyed sharing his knowledge and passion, and that made us feel even more comfortable and inspired to explore.
2) You get to see wild animals very close.
I have to admit, I was not originally a huge fan of animals. But this trip changed me completely. Jackson knew exactly how to position us safely while still giving us a thrilling, close-up view of lions, elephants, giraffes, and so many others. It felt like stepping into a real-life documentary, with the kind of awe you can never feel through a screen. Seeing these animals in their natural habitat, behaving as they would without disturbance, was breathtaking. I truly fell in love with safari after this visit, and I now understand why so many people call it a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
3) Jackson’s knowledge and thoughtful explanations
He was not just a driver taking us around, but a true storyteller of the safari. Jackson shared fascinating details about the animals’ behaviors, their habitats, and even the smaller things like birds that we might have otherwise overlooked. Because of his explanations, it wasn’t just about seeing, it was about understanding. Every moment felt richer and more meaningful, turning the trip into an experience we could deeply connect with.
Once again, we want to sincerely thank Jackson for making our honeymoon safari such an unforgettable experience. His passion, energy, and kindness turned this trip into something far beyond what we imagined, it truly became the highlight of our journey and a memory we will cherish forever.

An Absolutely Perfect Tour—I Honestly Cannot Recommend It Highly Enough!
While there are countless things I could mention, here are the three aspects of this trip that impressed me the most:
1. A Master of the Safari Game Drive
Our guide is an absolute expert when it comes to the game drives. They navigated every route perfectly without using any navigation tools. It was astonishing—until I realized they have nearly 20 years of guiding experience! They know the trails of 3the National Parks, which are bigger than some entire cities, like the back of their hand. This deep knowledge made our tour seamless. It was also incredible how they knew exactly where to go to find specific animals.
2. An Expert, Animal-Loving, and Friendly Guide
Beyond their expertise, our guide is a true professional and genuinely kind. Despite several difficult challenges, they always accommodated our schedule and never lost their smile. Their positive energy kept our trip enjoyable at all times. We became very good friends with Jackson (the guide) and promised to visit again!
3. Excellent Value for Money
The value we received was outstanding. We wanted a private tour and compared several agencies. Not only were the accommodations offered by this company of higher quality, but the price was also lower. I’m not sure how they managed it, but we got an amazing tour at a great price. I truly recommend them!
I can confidently say that this company surpassed all others we compared them with in every single aspect. Choosing Tanzania for our honeymoon was the best decision, and I'm thrilled that this guide made our experience absolutely perfect!
