A professional Maasai guide with a complete mastery of the Maasai Mara land
We joined the group tour as a couple, and he was truly an outstanding tour guide. We could really feel how much effort he put into making the experience enjoyable for us. In this kind of work, where you deal with nature, I believe that information and experience can greatly influence the outcome. Our guide, being Maasai, had not only deep knowledge and insight but also a personality that allowed him to build many friendships and gather valuable information. As a result, he managed to help us achieve the Big Five! (Of course, since this is nature, there is no guarantee you will always see them. But I am sure he has worked very hard, and will continue to work hard, to make such discoveries possible.)
There is one thing I especially want to say to future tour participants: please follow the rules he gives you, so that he can do his best in the best environment possible. It was difficult to watch when he had to gently, but firmly, remind members who broke the rules.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful tour experience.

Best week of our lives!!!
From the moment we were picked up from Nairobi to the time we got dropped off 7 days later, we honestly had the best time. Our driver, Africa was brilliant. He made us feel welcome, he took well care of us and answered all my questions (and there was many). Africa was very knowledgeable and you could see he enjoys his job and cares about all the animals, big or small. We were never rushed and he was very patient with us and the animals. He was happy to just let us stare at lions for nearly 3 hours and we loved that! Without our driver there is no way we would have been the big 5!
If you are a animal lover, I highly recommend Africa as your driver.
I would also like to thank Morris. This trip of a lifetime could not have happened without Morris. He answered all my questions - super quickly, changed the schedule and did adjustments to fit our budget.

We would highly recommend Balu Travel Ltd for safari in Masai Mara. Morris with Balu Travel arranged for our safari tour and gave recommendations on hotels to suit our needs and budget. He answered all questions promptly starting months ahead to the day of travel.
Carlos was our driver and guide for the three day tour and was exceptional! He provided for our safety throughout the tour and was adept at finding animals in Masai Mara. Excellent Service, Prompt Communication
Morris was extremely helpful and even answered our call at 4:30 a.m. when our hot air balloon operator was running late to pick us up. Very prompt and professional response from Balu Travel. Our driver and guide, Bryan, was outstanding—knowledgeable, patient, and always positioning the vehicle perfectly so we could capture the best shots of the wildlife. We would highly recommend him for your booking.
The only aspect we felt could be improved on the onward journey was the number of stops, which led us to reach Masai Mara quite late. We’re not sure if this is common across all operators, but we’re happy to give Balu Travel and Bryan the benefit of the doubt.

A completely trustworthy agency, great service, spectacular safari, and incredibly friendly and help
As always, I compared different agencies, comparing reviews and prices, and finally decided on Balu, and I'm so glad I did. From the start, Mr. Morris (the manager) answered all the questions and gave us all the information I'd asked him. Luckily, we chose the all-terrain vehicle, which is much better than the van. They picked us up at the scheduled time from our hotel in Nairobi (Best Western Plus Meridiam) and took us on two safaris (a short one on the first day and a 10-hour one on the second) that completely exceeded my expectations. Since this is an agency with many vehicles, we traveled in a group of three vehicles, which is an advantage in case one of the vehicles has a problem. Two of the drivers were Masai and very experienced, with extensive knowledge of the routes within the Masai Mara, always eager to show us around and find as many animals as possible. We were able to see a leopard and a cheetah right next to our vehicle, and a family of more than 10 lions eating a buffalo. We stayed at Simba+ Oryx natura camp, which was the most affordable and we loved it.

I reached out to several safari companies and ultimately chose Balu Travel - it was a fantastic decision. Morris, the owner, was extremely responsive and communicated clearly throughout the planning process. I requested several hotel options, and he provided the best fit for my preferences. I also asked for a few minor changes to the itinerary, and he accommodated them without any issue.
Our guide and driver for the entire safari was Kesaine, a member of the Maasai tribe - and he was amazing. He shared so much knowledge about Maasai culture, the local tribes, and the wildlife. Kesaine was not only accommodating but went above and beyond to make our experience special. On our very first day in the Maasai Mara, we saw four of the Big Five!
Kesaine took us to remote spots that I doubt many other guides even know about - his deep familiarity with the land, as a Maasai, truly elevated our experience. For our picnic lunch, he brought us to a beautiful, secluded location that felt incredibly special.
I also highly recommend choosing a Land Cruiser over a minivan. There were several moments where we had to cross large puddles or streams, and I don’t think a minivan would have made it through.
Overall, I highly recommend Balu Travel - and if possible, request Kesaine as your guide. You won’t regret it!

Best value exceptional service
Honestly for this price range i couldve been sleeping on a tent yet i get the best services, guide who went above and beyond for us to get that lion family footage and best 3d2n stay in a full board resort that are so clean you cant even find one mosquito and one spiderweb in the room even tho its located so close with nature. The best✨🤏🏻🤏🏻🤏🏻
