Highly recommend Zanzi Trekking - professional and fun
We did the Machame 6-day route in a group of four people. Our experience with Zanzi and Justin Soltary’s team was extremely positive - they picked us up at the hotel, provided all meals, checked on our health, and motivated us. It unexpectedly rained on us and they provided us with dry gear for our summit day. I plan to come back and hike Kili via a different route, and I’d want to work with Justin again. Would highly recommend.

Excellent
Had a great experience with Charles and Nestory. They looked after us like family. We did the 6 day lemosho route up Kilimanjaro with their team and everyone played such a crucial part in the journey to the summit. This was a once in a lifetime experience and the team at Zanzi Trekking and Safaris are one of the best out there. Would definitely recommend doing this trip with this team!

Great climb on Mount Kilimanjaro
We climbed the Kilimanjaro and it was great. There will be coming up many unexpected things and with our great guides Isack and Jumanee and their flexibility and experience we managed every challenge perfectly, also the manager Honest was very helpful for everything before and after the climb itself!

It was the most amazing experience ever! The whole Zanzi trekking team is fantastic, Honest followed us from our first day in Tanzania, he came to our hotel to explain everything about the Safari we were going to do and at the end of the days he came back to toast with us to this fantastic experience.
I was very skeptical at the beginning because a friend of mine had had a bad experience (scam) with another companion but they were special, they reassured me and helped me with the whole organization of the trip right from the start. Very helpful and kind.
The lodges they booked for the nights in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro are truly spectacular.
I really recommend their community for your Safari or Kilimanjaro climb

Friendly crew - reliable tour operator
We went climbing Kilimanjaro on the 7-day Lemosho route with Zanzi Trekking and had a successful climb to the summit. We were happy to find that Zanzi Trekking had a budget option which allowed us to save a decent amount of money compared to other companies we looked at, while at the same time including all the necessary elements for a comfortable Kili climb. Even though we booked the trip last minute, there was no issue. Booking was easy: we made an international bank transfer and they confirmed the trip upon seeing the proof of payment. Zanzi Trekking were flexible and fast at responding. As a bonus, they threw in a couple of sleeping mats at no charge – thank you!
Justin, our main guide, was very friendly and attentive to our needs. It was clear he had our best interest at heart and wanted us to have a good experience. We were also accompanied by Lazaro, our assistant guide, a true Kilimanjaro legend who had been climbing the mountain since 1981. Together they made a very good team. Justin was great at telling stories about his many years climbing Kili and very knowledgeable about the mountain. Lazaro had an infectious positive attitude and showed great patience with us when we needed time to rest, put on an extra layer of clothes, or take pictures.
Our cook, Dastan, made some hearty and tasty dishes to keep our energy levels high during the climb. He also made sure we had something fresh (fruit/vegetables) at every meal - even on the last days on the mountain. Our porters, Kelvin, Pius, Elimokozi, Dominik, Mathew and Shedi (Shedrak), did their absolute best to keep our stuff dry even when pitching the tent in the rain. They seemed to always be in a good mood.
All in all, we had a great experience climbing Kilimanjaro with Zanzi Trekking.

We had a marvelous time. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide/driver than Johnny Jackson. He watched over us well. He worked hard to make sure that we saw as many animals as possible, but never rushed when we were watching and taking pictures! The variety and number of animals was amazing.

Great experience with Zanzi
We chose Zanzi after getting 3 quotes. It was the best price and had the best configuration of parks and time in Zanzibar. They were easy to deal with in the lead up to the trip and they were flexible, allowing us to switch a night in Zanzibar for an extra night to do Lake Manyara. The tour itself was great, we saw lots of animals. I wouldn't recommend Lake Manyara, there are no longer lions in trees or flamingos as advertised, just the occasional elephant and some baboons (that's not Zanzi's fault, just how it is). The accommodation was all great. Our tour guide, Ishmael, was very knowledgable and knew his way around the game parks. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Zanzi
