A Stellar Safari Experience with JungleRoam and Guide Ken in Kenya
Our recent safari adventure in Kenya, organized by JungleRoam Travel Agency, exceeded every expectation, and a large part of that magic is owed to our incredible guide, Ken. From the moment we met him, Ken’s warmth and expertise set the tone for an unforgettable trip—his deep knowledge of Kenya’s wildlife and ecosystems turned every game drive into a fascinating lesson, not just a sightseeing tour. Whether he was pointing out the subtle tracks of a leopard, explaining the social dynamics of a pride of lions, or sharing insights about the local flora that sustains the savanna’s delicate balance, his passion was contagious and made even the quiet moments feel meaningful.
What truly set Ken apart, though, was his patience and dedication to ensuring we had the best experience possible. He never rushed us—if we wanted to linger to capture the perfect photo of a giraffe silhouetted against the sunset or a herd of elephants drinking at a waterhole, he happily waited, even adjusting the vehicle’s position to give us the best angle. On one occasion, we ran a bit late starting our morning safari due to unexpected delays, but Ken never cut corners; he extended our drive later in the day to make sure we didn’t miss out on any key wildlife sightings, a level of care that’s rare to find.
JungleRoam’s decision to pair us with Ken speaks volumes about their commitment to quality. Every detail of our itinerary was well-planned, but it was Ken’s skill at spotting animals (he seemed to have a sixth sense for finding even the most elusive creatures!) and his genuine desire to make our trip special that made this safari stand out. Great driver, great experience
Jungle Roam is a 100% reliable company. It was easy to get in touch with them to book a safari. We have been in touch via WhatsApp and communication was flowing very well. Accommodation, timing, meals and all the rest was followed as per program.

He will provide the best service you could ever have during your safari in Kenya! My experience with him as a driver and guide was simply amazing. James did all and beyond to show us the magic of nature that many times is not easy to spot and to find. We got to see all the big five plus the rest of hundreds of animals that inhabit the beautiful Kenyan natural parks. James was always attentive, answering all our questions and paying attention to our curiosity that was quite a lot. He gave us lots of information about the animals and the nature surrounding us and it was a pleasure to listen to all his explanations. His patience and his kindness definitely made our experience remarkable and unforgettable. If I ever come back to Kenya, I know who I have to contact.

Jimmy k, best guide ever, without a doubt. Great time management, fully dedicated, very knowledgeable about the animal world, both in terms of knowing where to look for animals and in the explanations he gives. He makes a great effort to make the most of every minute. He is excellent at positioning the jeep for animal sightings and driving in difficult terrain. He knew everyone and was always the first to find out everything. Thanks to his speed and skill, we saw absolutely everything: lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, rhinos, cheetahs, wildebeests, buffalos, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, hyenas, baboons, ostriches, gazelles, warthogs, pelicans, flamingos, etc. We experienced magical moments such as watching the sunset next to a lion, a rhino fight, a leopard trying to hunt a gazelle, seeing an elephant up close, bird watching on a lake all by ourselves, hyenas fighting over food, hippos up close, seeing lion families up close, giraffes passing in front of us, buffaloes chasing a lioness out of their territory, etc.
In short, it has been one of the best experiences of our lives, thanks to Jimmy K.

Simply lovely
This tour of safari was excellent because there were plenty of animals and the company with the guide was very nice. The guide gave the names of all the different species from the animals. Which made it easier to seperate. We also had great food and I slept very well. For me this was an extraordinary experience with an abundance of animals and also an exceptionnal view. This trip was simply lovely.

Excellent safari tour
The tour was excellent! We were greeted by the tourguide Johny Jackson. He gave us a lot of information about the animals we saw on the safari. Nice hotels, good food and comfortable travelling in the jeep (with wifi and electricity). Very good organised. We saw a lot of lions and cheetahs in Masai Mara and in Lake Nakuru we saw some rhinos.

Travel with Ken very nice
Thank you so much for an unforgettable journey. I travelled with my mother, and we both felt incredibly comfortable throughout the entire trip. The car was spacious and immaculate, the drinks were thoughtfully prepared, and both hotels were lovely—especially the second one, which we absolutely adored.
Every day, Ken drove with remarkable ease and confidence. He always seemed to know the quickest routes, could even locate the nearest facilities in an instant, and his knowledge of wildlife was exceptional. His explanations of the animals were precise, insightful, and vividly delivered, bringing every moment to life. Ken consistently spotted animals before anyone else and patiently circled around to ensure we had the perfect angle for photographs. Thanks to him, we captured some of our best shots ever.
Beyond his skill, Ken’s driving was safe, clean, and attentive. He was endlessly helpful and cheerful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. His positive energy made the trip even more enjoyable.
I wholeheartedly recommend travelling with Ken. This experience was truly extraordinary, and I will definitely return next year for the animal migration—with Ken as my guide again.

Brilliant Safari Trip with guide Kikitu
We had an incredible tour with Kikitu. The company's organization was excellent, everything ran smoothly. The accommodations were fine, the food was good; good value for money.
But Kikitu made the trip unforgettable with his infectious good humor at all times. His main goal was to ensure we had a great time and to show us as much as possible. Thanks to his experience, he made it possible not only to see the Big Five, but also countless other animals like the serval cat or a cheetah. He was always in the right place at the right time. Exceptional 7-Day Safari – JungleRoam Safaris Exceeded All Expectations!
We have just returned from a wonderful 7-day, 6-night budget safari with our guide, Samuel, and we cannot recommend JungleRoam Safaris highly enough.
Our trip started with a major complication: our flight to Nairobi suffered a bird strike, causing a 24-hour delay. We were worried about missing our start date, but the JungleRoam office was incredible. They rearranged our entire itinerary to begin a day later with no financial penalty—a level of service that truly set the tone for the trip.
From the moment we met Samuel at the Nairobi office, he made our family (including two teenage sons) feel welcome and safe. Throughout our journey through the Maasai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, and Amboseli, Samuel’s expertise was evident. He knows the routes and the wildlife like the back of his hand and was always happy to accommodate our requests for extra time at sightings. He was also incredibly resourceful; when our planned boat trip in Naivasha was overbooked, he quickly arranged an alternative so we didn’t miss out. Even during heavy downpours and holiday traffic, we felt completely safe in his hands.
Don’t let the "budget" label deter you. The hotels and camps were clean, safe, and more than adequate for our family. We enjoyed authentic Kenyan cuisine throughout, which added a wonderful layer of cultural immersion to the trip.
If you are on the fence about booking a Kenyan safari, don’t hesitate. Ask for Samuel—you won’t regret it!
