Amazing safari—perfectly organized, stunning wildlife, unforgettable experience!
5/5

From start to finish, this safari exceeded all expectations. Every detail was perfectly organized, and everything ran smoothly—from the game drives to the accommodations and meals. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, making each moment exciting and educational. We saw all the Big Five and so much more in their natural habitat, often up close!

The scenery was breathtaking, the wildlife encounters were unforgettable, and the overall atmosphere was both adventurous and relaxed. It truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I can’t recommend this safari highly enough—absolutely perfect in every way!

Amazing tour! Amazing guide! Amazing value!
5/5

Vincent, the tour operator manager, was very responsive to email and answered my questions quickly. The tour was perfect and great value for the cost! The game drives were amazing and our driver (Moses) was one of the best drivers I’ve ever had ! He did such a good job bringing us close to animals and was so patient and persistent to make sure we had the best animal sightings. Accommodation was nicer than I expected and was perfect for cost, great value for more budget-friendly travelers. 3 day, 2 night masai mara tour was excellent and exceeded my expectations!

Affordable, trustworthy and organised, an unforgettable safari with JungleRoam and Julius!
5/5

I want to start with thanking our guide, Julius (or his nickname, Juli) and the person behind JungleRoam, Chesi.

Skeptical at first, but our worries were diminished with Chesi's timely replies and other glowing reviews from fellow travellers.

Our recent 7-day safari with JungleRoam was nothing short of extraordinary, and we owe so much of that to our incredible guide, Julius. From the moment we were picked up to our final goodbye, everything was handled with such professionalism, warmth, and expertise that we truly felt we were in the best hands.

We had 6 persons, formed our own private tour and explored Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Hell’s Gate, and Amboseli National Park – each destination offering a unique experience that built on the last. The LandCruiser provided was in great condition, could handle rough terrain, clean and very comfortable for our group of 6 with a medium sized luggage each - coupled with Juli's great driving skills of course.

JungleRoam clearly knows how to plan the perfect itinerary, balancing breathtaking wildlife encounters with moments of cultural insight and scenic beauty. We stayed in a mix of budget camps and mid-range lodges, given that JungleRoam was so kind as to accommodate to our custom requests.

Masai Mara blew us away with its abundance of wildlife. Thanks to Juli’s sharp eye and deep knowledge of animal behavior, we were always the first to spot animals before the crowd comes. This resulted in many intimate moments with the animals and some great photos. His ability to track animals and position us for the best views (without disturbing the wildlife) was beyond impressive.

In Lake Nakuru, Julius timed everything perfectly and we saw elusive black rhinos thanks to his good eyes.

Naivasha and Hell’s Gate offered a different kind of thrill. Hiking in the gorges in Hell’s Gate felt surreal. While we were hiking, Juli spotted oil dripping from the vehicle and immediately sent it to repair - his friends picked us up from the trail. This is no fault of Juli/JungleRoam as the terrain is extremely rough where vehicle breakdowns are a norm, and we are lucky to have Juli spot the problem before it became something much bigger - imagine your car breaking down in the middle of nowhere, that'd be much worse! Juli also inspects and cleans the vehicle after the day ends and we felt safe and secure under his wings.

And then came Amboseli. The sight of elephants roaming beneath the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro is something we’ll never forget. Juli knows all the huge tuskers by name and could easily identify them by just looking at their tusks. We were incredibly lucky to see all 3 of the largest elephants in the park! Julius seemed to know every inch of the park and made sure we got those iconic, once-in-a-lifetime photos.

Beyond his guiding skills, Julius is a wonderful person—kind, funny, patient, and endlessly knowledgeable. He made us feel like more than tourists; he made us feel like friends and even family. Every question we had (and we had a lot!) was met with enthusiasm and insight.

The accommodations, the vehicle comfort, the seamless transitions between parks, and the care with which everything was handled all reflect the high standards of JungleRoam. It’s rare to find a tour company that delivers on every promise—and then goes above and beyond.

If you’re considering a safari in Kenya, look no further than JungleRoam, and if you’re lucky enough to get Julius as your guide, prepare yourself for the adventure of a lifetime. Juli made us fall in love with our first safari and I will not hesitate to go back if the opportunity comes again!

Thank you, JungleRoam and Julius, for making our dream safari come true!

Thank you Caleb and Kevin !!!!!!!
5/5

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
An unforgettable experience thanks to Caleb, our exceptional guide!

We were lucky to have Caleb as our guide during our one-week safari in Kenya, and honestly, he exceeded all our expectations. From the very first day, we could feel how passionate he is about his work—and he shares that passion with both generosity and authenticity.

Caleb knows every corner of the bush, every animal behavior, and he does everything possible to offer us unique and memorable moments. Thanks to him, we were able to observe animals up close, always with full respect for their natural space. He knows exactly where to position the vehicle and when, so we could witness incredible scenes—almost as if they were just for us.

His driving skills are impressive, even on the roughest and most unpredictable tracks. No matter how challenging the roads were, Caleb always stayed calm, focused, and extremely professional. He managed to navigate through tricky paths that many others would avoid—and that’s often where the magic happened.

What truly makes Caleb special is that he doesn’t just “do his job”. He lives every moment with us, wholeheartedly. He is deeply committed to helping us discover nature the way he loves it, sharing his knowledge and stories along the way. You can feel that, for him, this is not just a job—it’s a calling.

A huge thank you also to Kevin, who played a precious role throughout our stay. Since we don’t speak English very well, he took the time to translate everything patiently and kindly, allowing us to fully understand and enjoy every moment.

Thanks to both of them, our safari became something truly special. Without Caleb, this trip simply wouldn’t have been the same. He left a mark on our minds—and in our hearts. We will never forget him.

👉 Thank you, Caleb, for all your help, your kindness, your energy, and your constant smile.
If you ever get the chance to travel with him, know that you’re in for something truly unique.

Wonderful experience
5/5

We had the chance to experience an unforgettable one-week safari in Kenya with our family, accompanied by two exceptional guides: Caleb, our English-speaking driver/guide, and Kevin, our French-speaking guide.
We visited Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli National Park, and every stop was wonderfully organized.

Caleb is an extremely skilled driver, calm, careful, always punctual, and incredibly kind. Thanks to him, we always felt safe on the road and in the reserves, even with young children on board. He has an amazing eye for spotting animals — often before anyone else!

Kevin, our French-speaking guide, made every moment even more meaningful with his clear, fascinating explanations, always adapted to the whole family, including the kids. He is attentive, always smiling, very professional, and created a warm, friendly atmosphere throughout the trip. His knowledge of wildlife, nature, and local culture is truly impressive. He was also a great support when dealing with lodges and making sure everything went smoothly.

This Caleb & Kevin duo made our safari truly exceptional: a complementary, professional, and caring team, with a real passion for their work.
Thanks to them, we leave with unforgettable memories, breathtaking landscapes in our minds, and incredible encounters with African wildlife.

We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a real, stress-free Kenyan adventure!

A Very Mixed Experience.
4/5

During our 6 day safari, our guide, Stephen, alone, worked tirelessly, sometimes driving 7 hours in a day. His communication to the group could have been far better, clearer and louder, but he was friendly, very knowledgeable about the animals, tried hard and did his best to help us tick off the big five. We achieved this, but only managed to see Rhino at a distance, and did not see a leopard.

The Maasai clearly have a strangle-hold over all of these safaris that comes across as if it is a Mafia-type of situation. They control the gates to all the game reserves, it was their tourist camps we were taken to, and it was their shops with heavy-handed sales tactics and ridiculous prices that all the tourists were constantly taken to throughout the trip. The camps all serve the same boring tasteless food in bulk. Beef stew, chicken pieces, rice and mixed veg. This is what you will eat for every single meal, every day for 6 days. Left over chicken is packed up for bland tin-foil packed lunches.

Roads around the Maasai Mara are 100 times worse than you can imagine, even in a Toyota Land Cruiser Jeep. My spine was killing from being sledgehammered after these two days of the trip, and I had cuts and bruises on my shoulders from being bashed into the jeep walls. Nokuru and Amboselli roads were far better. Book a Jeep. Do not book one of these safaris in a van, you will massively regret it!!!

Manjaro tented camp was a dump. Staff were unwelcoming, bossy and miserable. Our tent and mosquito net did not close, even though they stated that if it was not closed, baboons could steal your belongings. The camp smelt of raw sewage, and the tent toilet did not work. They kindly provided me with a bucket to pour sink water into the loo as a substitute. The bedside lamp did not work and the only lightswitch with loose visible wiring was about 6 foot from the bed.

Be prepared for lots and lots of driving, ..........like whole days of driving, on sometimes pretty scary roads, and pray your driver has good judgement while overtaking at high speed on terrible roads.

At all three parks, some beautiful scenes of animals together were spoiled by overcrowding of vehicles. Usually a pride of lions or Cheetah will be surrounded by 20-30 vehicles. Loud, stupid Kenyan vehicle drivers shout to each other loudly in Swahili, and truckfulls of ignorant tourists talk loudly, even by animals very sensitive to sound. On several occasions, this clown-show led to the animals being scared off, and missing out chasing down a meal. On one occasion, there were so many trucks (about 50!!!), the wildabeest could not even get through to cross the river.

If you go to the Maasai village, be prepared to be surrounded and sold heavily to. Also, if a bracelet is worth 100-200KES, they will price it at 2500-3000KES, to start any negotiation. On our trip, they were so focused on selling to us, they did not even let us meet the chief, which was supposed to be a key part of the visit. Also be prepared to be stopped by the police with guns in Ambosselli, for a short river walk with a bribe. As Stephen did not properly explain or prepare us for this in advance, we panicked as we thought we were being robbed.

By the end of the trip, we had definitely had enough. The awful food and constantly being treated like a fool by the tireless heavy selling tactics of the Maasai had got a bit wearing. It was summed up by the Maasai children. You say 'Hi' to them, they hold their hand out for payment.

If it wasn't for the hard work of Stephen, this safari would only have been a 1 or 2 star experience.

This Kenya Safari trip has completely exceeded expectations
5/5

This Kenya Safari trip has completely exceeded expectations—definitely a full 5-star review! First off, the exceptional value for money deserves a shout-out. From accommodation arrangements to itinerary planning, the package offered by this agency is truly genuine and worthwhile.

Our guide Tribon, who accompanied us throughout the trip, is not only highly professional but also extremely warm and friendly. He would explain animal habits, patiently stop the vehicle when we encountered scenes we were interested in, and was as thoughtful as a friend.

The most delightful part was that the entire journey went smoothly without any unexpected issues. Each day’s itinerary was seamlessly connected, and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing. What’s more, we were incredibly lucky—with Tribon’s precise guidance, we saw lions, elephants, and giraffes, and even had a rare encounter with a cheetah. We’re truly satisfied!
