Ethiopia, you have to experience it! An incredible adventure. A landscape that reminds you of the power and severity of nature. The inhabitants of this country are very friendly and helpful. It is really worth leaving the zone of European standards and comfort. It is different, there are no million prohibitions, designated paths, regulations, bars and barriers. You have to listen to a guide who cares about our safety in relation to nature, because people in this country do not have to be afraid. Perfect organised and safe hiking Tour to the Semian mountains
I did a two day hiking tour to the Semian Mounains. It was a great experience and everything was perfectly organised and I got very quick and reliable answers to all my questions im advance. I felt totally safe all days and can absolutely recommend doing trips with disvover semian tours.

Amazing Journey Through Omo Valley
I recently completed a several-day tour through the Omo Valley, visiting multiple tribes, and it was an experience I will never forget. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. Our guide, Sahlie, was truly the highlight of the trip. His knowledge about the tribes, history, and culture of the region was incredibly deep, and he shared it in such an engaging and insightful way. Beyond his expertise, Sahlie was also kind, patient, and always went the extra mile to make sure we had the best experience possible. His attentiveness and warm personality made the trip feel personal and truly special.

Smooth and Exceptional Journey Through the North and South of Ethiopia
When I first was looking for reliable tour operator to help plan my trip in Ethiopia, I have my worries and doubt on whether any of the advertised companies on this Website are trustworthy and can do a good job. So it is with much caution that I engage Discover Simien Tour, and got in touch with Sahlie, the manager and guide for our trip. With much deposit money sent to him before we even begin our journey (we're a big group), the risk of getting duped is very much in my mind.
By the time we touch down in Addis Ababa, and meet up with Sahlie face to face, it was all good and the trip started out great. We were well taken care of every step of the way. Even when there's hiccups along the way (we had to modify our itinerary for a few days due to sudden cancellation of our domestic flight in Mekele), Sahlie made sure that the trip goes on with alternate activities, hotels and ensured we still have enjoyable and memorable moments.
In terms of communication, Sahlie may sometimes be a little slow in responding due to his busy work, but rest assured he delivers on what he promised, and much more. It has been a great collaboration with him, and he is willing to go the extra mile to make his clients achieve their needs, whether it's applying for drone permit, special access to photography etc.
I would highly recommend this company, Discover Simien Tour, and specifically Sahlie for his wonderful and professional, yet friendly and accommodating approach to helping us get the best out of our trip. Excellent & Unforgettable
We just completed a 12 day Ultimative Ethiopian Wildlife Adventure with Discover Simien Tour and it was truly unforgettable from start to finish.
From the very first day, our guide Sahile impressed us with his broad and deep knowledge, calm professionalism and genuine passion for Ethiopia. He made everything feel safe, easygoing, and yet so enriching – whether explaining the geology of the Simien mountains, pointing out gelada monkeys, or helping us understand local customs.
Our driver Daniel, was equally fantastic; punctual, skilled, and navigating challenging terrain with ease, which even made long drives feel part of the adventure.
The scenery across the trip was breath taking, whereas Simien mountains was the absolute highlight with its dramatic cliffs and astonishing flora and fauna. We stayed in a mix of comfortable lodges and hotels and the logistics were handled smoothly; transport, park fees, food and guides – everything as promised.
Culturally, we visited traditional communities, explored the spiritual side of Ethiopian heritage, and felt welcomed everywhere. Sahile skilfully bridged us into these moments, making them feel authentic.
In short; 5 stars for the excellent guides, the authentic cultural immersion, the stunning landscapes and the very professional and warm service. We felt like we did not just visited Ethiopia but also experienced it.
