African Expedition: A Six-Day Journey with Intimacy Adventures.
My six-day adventure with Intimacy Adventures through Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and a day trip to Materuni Waterfalls was an absolute dream come true! From start to finish, Intimacy Adventures exceeded all expectations, delivering an unforgettable journey through some of Tanzania's most iconic destinations.
Our adventure began with a seamless pickup and warm welcome from the Intimacy Adventures team. Throughout the journey, their expertise and passion for showcasing the beauty of Tanzania's landscapes and wildlife shone through, enriching every moment of our experience.
The first leg of our journey took us to Tarangire National Park, where we were treated to awe-inspiring game drives amidst herds of elephants, giraffes, lions, and more. The sheer diversity of wildlife and the stunning landscapes left us speechless at every turn.
Next, we ventured into the legendary Serengeti, where the vast plains and endless skies provided the backdrop for some of the most incredible wildlife sightings I've ever witnessed. From the Great Migration to intimate encounters with cheetahs and leopards, every moment felt like a scene from a nature documentary.
Our journey continued to the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, where we marveled at the sheer beauty and abundance of wildlife in this natural wonder. The views from the crater rim were simply breathtaking, offering a glimpse into the majestic nature.
And just when we thought the adventure couldn't get any better, Intimacy Adventures surprised us with a day trip to Materuni Waterfalls. Nestled amidst lush greenery and surrounded by serene beauty, the waterfalls were a welcome respite from the excitement of our safari adventures.
Throughout the journey, Intimacy Adventures went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. From luxurious accommodations to gourmet meals featuring local cuisine, every detail was thoughtfully curated to enhance our experience.

Overall good experience
Communication with Pritika was quick and good. As far as I understand, she probably doesn't have a guide she works with regularly. I got the impression that she's more of a reseller. During the five-day safari, I was with different guides and a changing group of participants who had booked with other tour operators.
The first guide, Gerson, was well-connected with the other guides, so he not only exchanged the latest sightings via radio but also received quick assistance when he drove the vehicle into the mud.
The information wasn't always accurate or was sometimes misleading. For example, I had to share a hotel room on the first night even though a single room had been advertised, the safari in the Ngorongoro Crater only lasted until midday (vs. "You'll be in the crater most of the day"), most days we were with seven people instead of six as stated on the website, and the lodge for the last night was changed at the last minute.
Overall, it was a good experience.

Great safari, not so great staff
Safari itself was great, we've seen a lot of animals. The driver however barely spoke to us, we never knew what was the daily programme etc. At the end of the trip he demanded we gave him a fixed amount of tips, which was outrageous. The tips aren't supposed to be obligatory, and for sure it shouldn't be a fixed amount. We felt very uncomofortable and actually scammed. Also on our way back there was such an organizatonal chaos, we changed cars three times, and we waited almost 2 hours to get our luggage from the office and get back to the hotel.

Too expensive for a bad safari.
Too expensive for a bad safari.
I saw very few animals. The driver did not show or look for animals that the passengers themselves saw, that was it. The driver was talking loudly to other drivers and on the phone all the time, not paying attention to the passengers. I was promised there would be 5 more passengers, but I was the 7th. It was a mixed group, living in different places. Also, living in the middle category did not always meet the standard. Compared to my first safari in Kenya, which was perfect, this one was downright bad. I do not recommend anyone to apply for this company. So they are not SafariBookings.
