It was my unforgettable moment!
5/5

It was great that we could see all of the Big Five animals. Also, I appreciated that transportation from Moshi to Arusha was provided.
Our driver, Joel, had a lot of historical knowledge, so the ride from Moshi to Arusha was really interesting.
It was also easy to communicate with them because they replied very quickly.

Joel was the kind of guide every traveler hopes to get, attentive, patient genuine and knowledgeable
5/5

If you’re doing the Materuni Waterfall, coffee tour, or Maasai village tour, definitely ask for Joel…one solid guy. Professional, knowledgeable, down to earth, and genuinely made the whole experience better from start to finish. We laughed the whole day, I learned a lot, and he always made sure I was good, even helping me through slippery areas and making me a walking stick on the spot. The coffee tour and Maasai village experience both felt authentic, fun, and enlightening. Also shoutout to this kid called “Paparazzi” for the amazing photos and slow motion videos.

An amazing experience with an extra touch!
5/5

The tour went right as it was planned. The operator was always available for questions, both prior to the safari and even during the trip. The lodge was amazing and the service at the tented lodge was impeccable and engaged. But the one thing that made this safari a once-in a lifetime experience was our ranger Ruben. He had great knowledge about the country and the wildlife and a lot of experience, which came at hand when a thunderstorm was coming up. Moreover he was kind and had a great network which made him find a lot of animals that otherwise are hard to see. He was an amazing guide and made such a big difference. We will definitely recommend Jambo Masai Tours to our family and friends!

Amazing experience climbing my Mount Meru
5/5

Raphael helped organise my trip up to Mount Meru, visiting me the day before my trek started to check my gear and coming with the guide to talk me through the itinerary and answer all my questions. The next day they picked me up at 9am and drove me to the gear rental shop (not the cheapest, but had no concerns on cleanliness or quality like other trekkers). The food served was delicious and there was always plenty so I was never hungry. I never felt in danger and especially on summit day when I wasn’t feeling great my two guides took great care of me. Very efficiently dropped back to Arusha airport on the final day to catch my 4pm flight in a car with wifi and charging ports (no electricity whilst climbing). Brilliant experience!

Great Safari, Hadija (coordinator) is amazing
5/5

I did the 4 day safari with this company and was very happy with how everything went from beginning to end. I got detailed quotes within 24 hours after sending the request, and Hadija connected with me on WhatsApp promptly as well. She helped me coordinate my arrival, gave great suggestions, and overall was caring, wonderful, and very detail oriented. She even managed to adjust my start date after my flight got delayed, picked me up from the JRO in the middle of the night and arranged lodging in Arusha so I can rest up. Also, since I got an extra day in Arusha, Hadija provided different options for things to do in the area and was there to show me around. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe and taken care of.

The safari itself was done with their partner—Serengeti African Tours. I met up with other travelers from my group at a lodge around lake Manyara and from there headed to Serengeti. Our driver Adrian was great—we saw the big five and so much more! Our chef was also great—we had veggies, rice/starch, and protein consistently for lunch and dinner as well as fruit for dessert. Breakfast consisted of toast, pancakes, omelette, sausage, and fruit. He also asked about dietary restrictions and accommodated for those for a few people in our group. The car was in good condition and had a charging station.

Please note that camping in Serengeti has pretty outdated facilities compared to Ngorongoro, so if you’re not staying at a lodge, plan accordingly (bring power banks, toilet paper, etc).

6-Day Safari

Our 6-day safari was an absolute highlight. The three days we spent in the Serengeti were especially breathtaking and highly recommended. The endless open plains and incredible wildlife are truly unique. An unforgettable experience!

Raphael and Hadija were great to work with, very quick to respond and very helpful with ideas.
5/5

Our safaris with Jambo Masai Tours were planned according to the areas we were interested in seeing and to fit our budget. The accommodations were very nice for the money. Our tour guides for the safaris were very knowledgeable and we saw lots of animals including the big five. We took a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti which was amazing in itself. We are in our early seventies and my husband has Parkinson’s and we were able to do this trip because everyone was so helpful to us. Since it was vehicle safaris, we didn’t have to do very much walking. Overall, I would encourage seniors or anyone to take this trip of a lifetime as we did. The people were great and I got home without my jackets, which Raphael promptly sent them to me! Unbelievable trip!

Unforgettable Safari Adventure – Beyond Expectations
5/5

This was our first trip outside the EU, so naturally it felt a bit like a leap into the unknown. We took a bit of a gamble booking with this company, as there were fewer reviews compared to others — but we’re so glad we did. They offered a great itinerary, allowing us to explore for 8–9 days, and everything turned out even better than expected.

Communication was clear and smooth from the start. We booked quite last-minute, but they still managed to arrange everything in time — impressive!

The accommodations throughout the trip were excellent, but what truly made our experience was our driver, Ruben. He was absolutely fantastic — knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely well-connected with other drivers in the area, which meant he was always aware of where to spot the wildlife. Thanks to him, we saw the Big Four (we’ll have to come back for the rhino!). His passion for animals and nature really made a difference.

Visiting the local tribes (Masai, Hadzabe, and Datoga) was a profound and enriching experience. We approached it with an open mind, and it truly gave us a deeper understanding of the region and its people.

On our final day, we hiked to a waterfall with Hadidja Johnson and Raphael — be prepared for a challenging walk, but it’s absolutely worth it. And the visit to the coffee plantation still brings a smile to our faces when we think about it.

All in all, this safari exceeded our expectations. We came for the adventure, but left with unforgettable memories and a strong desire to return.
