Tsavo, east and west, is an exraordinary destination that is reasonably accessable to the normal tourist. It is really two parks in one, as it is split by the Niarobi to Mombasa road. What is the first thing that is striking is the deep rich colour of the ground, almost red. Then it's the animals. You'll be guarenteed to see zebra and giraffe. Almost certain to lions and elephants. The two places that I really would recommend are Voi lodge and Kilaguni lodge as places to visit and stay overnight. And that's all I'm gonna say as I wouldn't want to spoil 'em for anybody!

Very accesible, close to coast tourist city Malindi. Good for 1 or 2 days of safari. My First safari

It´s been my first safari in Africa. After 2 days (24 hours into the park) I was a bit upset, because we´ve seen lions and cheetah so far, and no leopards, but, and this is very good point, I learned that luck is very important in a safari. Some friends we´re there same days and they had seen these animals very close.
Lots of elephants and anthilops, jirafes, zebras, baboons, hipos, big eagles...
We were travelled from Malindi directly in a big Land Cruiser 4wd to 8 people, just my wife and me, with the guide and the driver, and we got a good price.
We stayed in a lodge a little bit elevated on a hill, with 2 water holes. At night I experienced the visit of lions, water buffalos, more elephants... from a bunker that lets you watch them very close. Very nice view of landscape at sunrise and sunset.

In Tsavo East I would highly recommend the crossing the park. Make sure to visit the 'Crocodile Point' and watch the sun set as you drive away, back to the tents of the 'Satao tent camp'. Spending the night there is just amazing, especially since you are allowed to spend the night besides a campfire, waiting for animals (such as lions) to visit the puddle next to the camp. Bring a long-range camera lens, to catch all the beautiful birds that I'm sure will make you wonder where they all come from and why you never made a visit before...

A great park to visit. I only spent a short time there but it was worth the trip. I was able to photograph some different wildlife, like the Gerenuk. It was also really pretty landscape.

We have booked a 3 day safari with Steve & Richard via internet. Since Steve is running coast and Richhard is running Nairobi, we met Steve only. He was at Moi international airport already waiting for us when we arrived. He brought us to our hotel where we immediatly paid 25% upfront for a safari a week later. People at the hotel said we would never see him back so we worried a little about that. But Steve called us to acknowledge he booked the Lodges for our safari and we got exited. On the day we departed, Steve was there before the hour we had agreed, with the driver. If you know Kenya, you know being earlier than late is very special. Good points here for S&R. After we paid the rest of the safari, Steve left the private van we had and the driver gave us a fantastic safari. Stopped where we wanted, how long we wanted, answered all our questions, gave us extra info on animals. Exeeded our expactations really. EG we wanted to leave the lodge before breakfast, than return just
Read more in time before breakfast and leave again for a game drive. This was not a problem. We saw may many animals in Tsavo and were so happy with this safari. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a super safari. We did stick to Tsao East only. So to look in every corner at a calm pace. Photo's : http://wp.me/P18EuK-1gh

We could see herds of elephants in dozens. Rhino is not present in this park (as per guide) but other 4 of big five were visible in abundance. The park is big and well kept. Kenya safari Lodge Hotel has a tremendous view. Loved it
