I traveled in Uganda with Ngoni Safaris.
I found every aspect of this trip to exceed my expectations.
The natural beauty is truly stunning.
The people of Uganda are intoxicatingly charming; friendly, helpful with a heartfelt willingness to welcome you to their country.
I traveled to Murchison, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi, Jinga and Entebbe.
All accommodation exceed my expectations in terms of comfort and food quality.
All accommodations were clean, friendly and wonderfully authentic.
The game drives provided me with such incredible experiences.
I was fortunate enough to see the Big 5.
Also chimpanzee communities.
And a fabulous trek to make close contact with gorillas.
And so many other species and birds.
Lake Bunyonyi was an excellent evening motorboat experience.
The source of the River Nile in Jinga was amazing.
I really can not recommend Uganda enough.
I am returning next March!

The gorilla safari is excellent but it seems difficult to recommend the traditional African safaris in Uganda when you are so close to some of the best animal viewing in the world in nearby Kenya and Tanzania with the Masai Mara and Serengeti National Parks.

The friendliest place I have ever been

The wildlife in Lake Mburo National Park is slightly limited, with no signs of the big five (although there were talks of bringing back the giraffes, as conditions were thought to be very good for them now). Howeever, this did not limit the experience of thew safari. We knew from the beginning what animals we could expect to see, and they were out and about continuously. We came very close to the animals, and the were curious yet healthily cautios when we were present. It did not feel like they were too used to people, and we rarely met another group while on our game drive.

The scenery was beautiful, and so inspiring! Our breakfast at the lakeside cafè was of decent quality at best, but it was amazing to see all the animals, birds and to enjoy the lake view while having our breakfast. Our accomodation was parted; two people stayed at the spectacular and luxurious Mihingo Lounge. The other two stayed more or less in the bush, in a one-room house with toilets outdoors. We
Read more ran into animals on our way to the bathroom! Fascinating, and slightly scary. Food at Mihingo Lounge was excellent, food at the lakeside restaurant was decent. We had a teenager from the park collecting us from the restaurant at nighttime on a boda boda. It was a thrill to ride through the park at nighttime.

The safari included a boatttrip, which was great for birding, and a walking safari. The latter was the safari highlight; a two hour walk on the green steps, surrounded by buffalos, topis, waterbucks and a bucnh of other animals I cannot rememeber right now. Our guide was fantastic. A friendly, intelligent young man with a heart for nature. And a great storyteller he was too!

As for Uganda, it was marvellous. I have not been there for the last time.

See the source of the Nile and the Mountains of the Moon in one trip.

Unlike other safari destinations in East Africa, Uganda has diverse geography--big rivers, mountain ranges and lakes-- that break the monotony of the high plains and make great backgrounds for photos. Uganda offers serious mountaineering, whitewater activities and gorilla trekking, in addition to the standard bush safari. Ugandans are friendly and more of them speak English than denizens of neighboring countries. It's well worth a visit.

I got what I paid for for booking last minute!

AMAZING scenery, especially at sunrise and sunset! The weather was perfect at this time of year (dry season). Got to see a pack/herd? of giraffes, elephants, buffaloes...etc. We were able to see everything except Lions!

We booked very last minute and so we had quite a few disappointments...
- no park ranger as a tour guide - which would have helped us see lions! we were so disappointed to miss the lions!
- our guide spoke poor English and barely explained things to us
- did not go in a 4x4 land cruiser as stated...ended up in a very old van with broken A/C and extremely shaky
- Stayed at Bwana Tembo, which is outisde of the park. Good food, nice manager, but not exactly worth the mid-range price. No electricity in the rooms! Just a fan to help keep cool at night, and our driver was put in a room with NO fan at all and it was boiling hot all night. Very unfair treatment for him.

Great country to see wildlife

Murchison Falls National Park, Impenetrable Forest and the Vitunga Mountains offer great opportunities to see wildlife. People are very friendly and travelling is quite easy. Outside the national parks there is, however, not too much to see or do from a tourist perspective.

We went to Bwindi in May ans the experience was good , seeing these animals is a unique experience.
I think we were not lucky enough to see a big silver back as the one we saw was small. I think the price is pretty high for what you get to be honest
Our guide was not as attentive as I expected and we had a elderly person in out group who hired a a porter who was not that helpful
Nice experience in general

Uganda is worth visiting

My friends and I spent 12 days in Uganda in July. This was our first time to travel to the country. It is worth visiting. The people are polite and friendly. The sceneries are beautiful. There are also full of wild lives. The most unforgettable experience for me was the chimpanzees trekking and the gorilla trekking. Although it consumed rather lot of my energy, the sweat and the effort was paid off when I saw these beautiful creatures. I am also happy to see how Uganda people protect the wide lives and how they help the local community via tourist industry.

The lodges I stayed are also wonderful. Most of them are with very helpful and friendly staff. I enjoyed very much the stay in Uganda. I must not forget to mention Tubale Safaris, the travel agency. Their service is very professional and the staff are very responsible. My friends and I were taken good care of during our stay in Uganda. Our needs were addressed in a very responsible and timely manner. Ayub Munowa was our

He is very well-organized and plans everything well. We are so blessed to have him with us and thank him for showing us around as well as telling us a lot about the wide lives in Uganda.

Uganda has terrible road structure, but wonderful wildlife and people.

Uganda is a beautiful country with wonderful people and amazing wildlife. What I did not enjoy was our car ride from the airport in Entebbe to Bwindi National Forest. It took 10 hours because their roads are in terrible shape, two-lane highways through small towns all the way. The distance we traveled would take 4 hours on roads from the US. But because they don’t have the infrastructure we do, it took 10 hours.
